SCEN: Operation Dantooine Dawn date TBA

Location and date is to be determined as I might not have a field by the summer so I am going to be actively seeking out other places to do this event if my folks sell the place by the summer.

I would also like to work with another team or group in planning this, if you are interested PM me, this is definitively going to be the most "unique" event in Michigan history.

Yes you read the title right, This is operation Dantooine Dawn, a Airsoft scenario based around Star Wars

Age Limit
16+ unless vouched for by a respected MiA member or you come with your parent or guardian, if you are younger than that would like to attend, PM me so I can talk to your parents.

Registration and Payment

- Walk ons are Welcome, the more we can draw in the better.
- Waivers will be available on site at registration
- Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
- If you are approved by the event host you are exempt from the age requirement but a wavier must still be signed.

FPS and Engagement Limits

1.0 - 350.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit
351.0 - 409.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit
420.0 - 550.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* Semi-auto replicas only.
551.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only

*Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated.

Ammo Limits: highcaps are permited
Riflemen - 1000 rounds in midcaps, or two highcaps
Support - 2500 rounds in any configuration
Sniper - 300 rounds in any configuration

Loose bb's are permited

Backstory

In an effort to turn the tide of the galactic civil war, the Rebel high command has dispatched a small but elite force the Rebel soilders under the command of Luke Skywalker to the planet of Dantooine. They believe that there, they can uncover an ancient artifact known as the star map. It is believe that the starmap can help lead them to the Star Forge, a long lost space station last seen over 4000 years ago during the war against Darth Malak. This space station is believe to be able to produce capital ships faster than any of the shipyards in the core worlds, including the Kuat Shipyards, the shipyards that produced The Pride Of The Core.

However Darth Vader has become aware of this plan and has dispatched a fleet led by none other than the infamous Grand Moff Tarkin. Darth Vader plans to destroy the rebel forces there and activate the star map himself, giving him the location of the Star Forge and overthrow his Sith Master, the Emperor. However he does not know his son Luke, is currently on Dantooine.

Only ones who are strong in the force can access a star map, will the rebels be able to hold onto their grounds in the destroyed Jedi Enclave that once housed the most powerful masters in the galaxy? Or will Darth Vader be successful in his plan to take the throne for himself.

I don't sense much interest in cosplaying. Like white clothes for Stormtrooper armor? Without good props, it's basically going to be an airsoft game with one team in white. I don't think tons of people want to wear white for it.

I was going to be making props like sheild generators that need to be taken down, holocrons that need to be captured, bombing runs done by Tie fighters and Y-Wings (done in pretty much the same way as blacksheep did mortars), ect. I'd run the event with only 30 players so long as it builds up a player base. My idea was to do two games with loose cosplay restrictions, then the third you would HAVE to come in Imperial garb minus the helmet ( That would fog like hell, IF it was even allowed to be used) to get players used to the idea and give them time to acquire the stuff.

There's been good fallout based games done before. I could set the game up where teams are issued credits for completed objects, which the commanders will then pay the ref's for bombing runs. Maybe a super weapon that can only be used if your team is being swamped or only if you have a ton of credits that will basically kill every enemy on the field and force them back to respawn. Like an orbital strike. Just ideas I have that could make this more immersive.

I think your demographic for this is maybe 20 people on MiA, not to put down the idea of something so in depth but I just don't think the target audience is out here.

All of MTAC would probably love this, I have a clone helmet I could use. I'd say me +maybe 2 of MTAC have interest. And a Boba Fett helmet, if he could be factored into the story. If you ever decided to do this again.
