The guy with no arms I personally know. His name is Patt "Stubbs" Crouch. He does his own tech work and everything. He's a good guy and even jokes about the stub. He plans on getting a new arm soon.

I've also got an event coming up October 11th at Hell Survivors in Pinckney if you wanna give it a try up there. We've got just over 180 acres of playable field, so there are plenty of great spots to hide for a good ambush or two.

Mosin, that sounds great! My son is 15 and would like to become part of the Airsoft community too. Will you have event details coming soon or are they currently on the Event board?

It's already up: miairsoft.proboards.com/thread/50274/rec-game-survivors-11oct2014 Most of the people on these boards will gladly let you try out there stuff if you're at an event with them. Its what I did when I was first starting out, and it definitely helped me make some great decisions on what to buy. (It simultaneously fueled my need to spend a couple thousand $'s too, but hey, it was fun). If you ever see me at a game and want to try out what I'm running, I'd be more than willing to let you have a round with it. I'm sure most of the people around here would do the same if you ask nicely .

Thanks Puma and Netmarine. I'm quite a WWII nut and began researching Airsoft AEGs a couple of months ago. I've also been to a couple of WWII reproduction web sites to get a load out together. Currently I have a M1 Garand (I attached a scope to it), a Thompson submachine gun and an Elite Force 1911 A1 GBB. I sure hope I didn't put the cart before the horse! Thanks again for your input. It's reassuring to know there are people - like yourselves - with character.

Well Ranger, as much as I'd appreciate that (and it would be pretty cool) I get around pretty well with my camo cane!

What we need to do is make a cane with an AEP(automatic electric pistol)built into it. Would make a great little secondary if you get pinned down and nobody would expect to get shot by a cane!!

But if the person is too close, would I have to "cane, cane" them instead of "bang, bang"?

^yup. Yup. Or, you could tape a plastic knife to the cane and viola! sword cane. Or knife cane. Either works.

Modify your cane to have a tornado impact grenade on the end so you would just jab them and all that surrounds them gets sprayed.

If you come out to a game with a well put together WWII kit, I think you'd get more complements than odd looks.
There's a distinct lack of WWII kit around here.
