Haven't seen a thread for this yet so I'll get the ball rolling.
All in all, another great game by BTR Airsoft. Splatmandu is one of my favorite fields and I'll take any chance I can to play there.
Positives, The game seemed to flow pretty well, I never noticed a big lull in gameplay which is great. There were a few short stalemates while fighting for key areas but that's to be expected sometimes. My squad only completed one objective... kind of. But even though we found the wrong item it was fun to be given a map and to go looking for a random object. Commanders did a good job communicating with their team (on warlords anyway. I don't know about the other team)
Not positives, Camouflage. From my experience when an event includes camouflage restrictions it usually comes with a no mixed camo clause to help prevent confusion. Now I know it got hot out but I had two team kills because they decided to wear just camo pants and a white or otherwise "civilian" colored shirt. Not really BTR's fault but frustrating nonetheless. Sportsmanship, Unfortunately we ran into that 2% of players who didn't display the best sportsmanship they could have. It wasn't hit calling, although that happened as it always does, but that a player got very confrontational after a confusing situation where her squad didn't come out on top. It was so bad that instead of sticking to our guns (so to speak) we left the area when re spawn hit to avoid further confrontation (after which the entire right flank collapsed).
Despite the hot temperatures and tempers it was another awesome game. Congrats to BTR on another job well done!
Edited for clarity and simplicity

Let's start with the good: At the begining of the game there was lots of careful planning by the warlords leader, and every task delegated to the forces seemed to be punctual and swift. The field had great opportunities for positioning squads and such, which gave lots of variety to the gameplay. Also I did like the fact we were made to meet members of the other team before the game, which encouraged sportmanship and put more of a face to for you to connect to the other team with during gameplay. At the end of game two I really enjoyed all the pyrotechnics that were set off, also the ones set off throughout the day;it created a very immersive game.
On to the bad: The assignment of tasks to the warlords was very selective;by this I mean that it seemed only a select few squads throughout the day received missions to accomplish, while all the others were left scrambling around to do what they could to support an effort they were unaware of. For future games I hope that the moderators would make it a point for larger scale teamwork, not segregated squad missions.
Now the ugly: When I arrived I saw lines of 30-35 cars on each side of the street,as I walked into the staging area I found that the available parking was abismal with room for only about 8 cars. I would recommend taking out a section of the woods in the front to make room for a parking lot that could contain at least 50-60 vehicles, the section of woods I'm refering to is a part which was never used during gameplay (about 200 yds by 250 yds). Next is the issue of set cammo's for each team,I realize we were supposed to be drug lords and warlords;however,I believe the guidlines for uniform designation were not strict enough which resulted in much confusion throughout the day. Lastly, the type of people that were drawn to this event,I realize you cannot really control that, but I just noticed so many rawnchy/disrespectful people throughout the day;people that did not properly represent the airsoft community, but better represented the paintball community. Perhaps enforce a no smoking and no profanity rule, even though the moderators liked to smoke and curse as much as everyone else, could we please be respectable airsofters for one day?
Overall the event was alright,I'm not happy the rain shut down most of the second half but sometimes you just have to push through it.
