Hey everyone, so I had abit of an unfortunate occurrence today while playing a rec game. I was right in the middle of the action when I took a BB right to my Replica EOtech, and it shattered the front lens. This was very odd considering I KNOW for a fact that the sight has taken shots at almost point blank on several occasions, and walked away unharmed, well sadly today wasnt one of those days. So my question is, judging from the picture below, is there anywhere I can take it, or anyway I can replace the front lens without having to buy a whole new sight? Thanks in advance for any help!

As far as I know, there is not. If it was real, you might be able to get it repaired, but for a replica, your only option is to replace the whole optic. Or do what Carnage did and just bust the glass out and make it for looks only.

I hurd that I may be able to order a real replacement lens from EOtech and put it in myself, Not sure about that one though.

I've been thinking about trying to repair my EXPS front lens for awhile now. I'm thinking of taking the broken glass out, cutting a slot in the top of the plastic housing (seeing how the metal hood would hide most modifications) and attempting to slide something like plexiglass in there. Only thing that has been holding me back is I don't know how the reticle would appear on the plexiglass.

To my knowledge (Given I've had two shot out and repaired) EoTech won't give out the loose glass. The plexiglass idea might work but it gets scratched up and degraded really easily so you'll need to have a ton of spares on deck. I use pieces of it w/my NODs and it degrades so quickly I have no idea how guys use it with their Contours and such. It seems like you'd get a milky picture after a game or two.

Plexi seems like a bad idea to me, I was thinking Acrylic glass for the right amount of reflective while also not as opaque

That sucks. Sorry to hear about that. When I bought my EO Tech replica I was afraid of the same thing happening so I bought one of these: Protective Lens Cover EO Tech
If you get it fixed look into one of those. Zzan

Funniest/Most Ironic part about this whole ordeal, I have a lens protector that I run ALWAYS, but I took it off my gun to clean it after the last no limits game because I got some bugspray gunked up on the inside, and never put it back on, and this morning I remember that and told myself "Ive ran without it before and it was fine!" welp, I payed the price.

I just got a large sheet of plexiglass for free from work so I'm going to try it out in the next few days. I don't use it and its already broken so I figured 'meh', why not. If all goes well I'll have a video on how I did it.

I had a teammate who had one of those protectors for his replica EOTech. It got shot out at a No Limits game this April by a guy within MED. Later in the day, the actual EOTech lens got shot out too. Unlucky day I guess

It's just the risk you take when you don't run a killflash, lexan lens protectors, and the like. It's a bummer, but be grateful that it was just a BB that hit it and not a real round.

Haha, pesky real rounds on the field, I just ended up replacing it, I was told by my tech that and I quote "It is fixable, but its probably going to be more hassle than just buying a new one" Got a pretty sweet deal on a real steel optic, so im content. (and ill be sure not to forget my lens protector ever again though!)
