What exactly was the scenario you guys were practicing? Several different things, mostly the bounding maneuvers you went over with me back in...August? It was a while ago. We also practiced the patrol formations, although that didn't end up in the video too much. Practiced working in "buddy pairs," which is something that I formed out of your lessons on attacking/falling back from a target with teammates. We did a fun little two-on-two match at the end which wasn't meant to train-in anything specific that you taught, but Killer and I used the bounding quite effectively. If you're wondering what the whole back-to-back thing was, that was just a warmup drill to practice some reloading and that "walking with a buddy" thing you went over.

Gotcha.
The moving up on target thing is mainly a CQB drill that you guys were doing in pairs, and it's usually done with the rear guy stepping out with his foot and then dragging the remaining one back to a good shooting stance until he feels the boot of the guy he's trailing. In the video you can see your dudes using dominant firing hands reaching onto that flak, which will add some drag time to the response if a guy pops out from behind something you passed.
I heard some moving and set in there, so that sounded pretty on point.
It definitely showed when you guys executed that ambush that you all have worked together a few times at no limits, especially when it comes to flushing out a sniper.

Yeah, we were just using it as a warmup. And it felt really cool to do... The snow made it impossible to do the "boot-drag" thing, but I did talk with them about it. In the video you can see your dudes using dominant firing hands reaching onto that flak, which will add some drag time to the response if a guy pops out from behind something you passed. Can you elaborate on this? I don't really know what you mean. I heard some moving and set in there, so that sounded pretty on point. Yup, we focused a lot on that bounding and even used it quite a bit at yesterday's event. It definitely showed when you guys executed that ambush that you all have worked together a few times at no limits, especially when it comes to flushing out a sniper. We actually employed a *roughly* L-shaped ambush for that, so we did use your teachings there too.

When you guys are moving up in pairs practicing the "I'm out of ammo switch", the guy holding rear security is keeping one hand on the guy behind him moving towards the target. This is where the foot drag method should have been used, in case a bad dude popped out from behind.
Really that whole situation is so rare and far between to practice it doesn't matter a whole lot, since if there is a target that requires suppression to the volume that you guys were putting down, and since it's all open like that having a rear security guy almost isn't even needed. In a CQB situation if the front guy is actively engaging and runs dry he should transition to a pistol in order to keep rounds on target. If the point guy moves out of the way like that the rear guy doesn't know who/what the one man was shooting at, and is basically walking into that situation blind.
We did a winter training session and I made some shoot houses out of simply shoveling snow and exposing grass as rooms and snow as walls, which can easily be replicated with cloth tape wrapped around stakes in the ground as well.
For the most part it looks pretty good though, you can definitely tell that you took some of the bits you liked about my classes and applied them here, which is exactly what should be done. It's always difficult training without knowing what you're training for, so sticking with the basic drills and basically talking/walking through how you're going to handle different situations is only going to benefit the entire team.

Thanks Mosin
Next we have to work on integrating your CQB lesson into our SOPs, as that is a large blank spot we have right now.

Please mock me. team was in the area I live in so I was wondering how I could join the team First off, I would like to advise you to use proper grammar. On forums, proper grammar is typically enforced pretty heavily. In regards to joining GSAT, to begin the application process you must complete our standard application process. Here is what you must do: Compose and send an email or PM to either myself( Killer ) or Stinger. We have a form you will have to fill out. After that, we'll schedule you to do a PFT(Physical Fitness Test), which you will have to complete.

Will I have to rent equipment? I currently don't have equipment I was trying to find a team and if I can join I will get equipment . If you don't currently have your own equipment, it's likely that you aren't experienced enough to make it onto the team. I don't intend that in a mean way. EDIT: I just created a GSAT recruitment thread. Please direct all GSAT application-related discussion over to that thread.
