So I'm lookng to ditch ARs as they require a bit more fiddling with than I have time for what with life and all (also why I'm selling my gear off until I can get out to games more), so I'm looking to get a V3. I don't want an AK. Too usual. I don't want an SVD (Gas is a no-go in winter, spring is no good for field playing, and AEG stinks. Not to mention it's heavy). So I'm settling with a VSS. I don't like the Echo1, so I'm rolling with KA. I've heard the KA version is made from "questionable materials" but I don't see any bad reviews concerning that. Also the internals are KA so I'm not too worried about that. And for the amount I'll use it, I don't expect much damage. But are their any other reasons I should consider, or are those reasons bad enough? Any opinions on anything I've said?

I'm confused why you think the AR platform will require more fiddling with then the AK platform.

In my experience, V3s tend to be more durable then the V2s. Just my opinion. Also, I'm kind of tired of the AR platform. Kinda bored. So, hence the VSS.

The LCT is the best VSS/VAL out there, everyone I know who has one loves it. The KA's handguard looks really silly, too. I think the receiver on the VSS is the correct height so mounting optics should be easier. Not 100% sure though.

The one weakness I recall of the LCT version is that some of them needed to be tightened up in terms of their hop-up screws, but out of all of them so far, it would be the one I would go for. Externally I recall that the LCT has the wrong receiver cover, but it is not like you are going to run into people who care here locally.
King Arms had quite a bad issue with gaps between the hop-up and gearbox, bad design point. Supposedly they have started to try and replace the part that causes the issue (point where a screw is supposed to go), but who knows how widespread that is yet.
Honestly, I would just get some form of Kalash instead. There is enough models of them that you do not see at a field usually, and you won't be paying out the nose for magazines nor having to have a dedicated set up for them. You will have so much more potential for a Kalash than a specialty weapon.
Do not know why folks think that Dragunovs are heavy, just got to learn how to shoulder them right. I still find folks with armalites that weigh more.

I'm actually looking into getting a Kalash as I dislike proprietary mags. Dragunov is out as I want a more versatile weapon. The two I'm looking at are the G&P AK105 and the Dboys AK-7 (don't know the exact model. this one: www.evike.com/products/30130/). I really like the Dboys 74UN, but my concern is, as always, range. I like something that'll reach out a little farther.

You could always put a PBS suppressor with a longer inner barrel on a 74un

After looking into it, that's what I'm going to do. I'm having trouble finding the Dboys RK-01 (the 74UN with real wood) except on airsoftGI... where they charge $170... On evike they have the CYMA, but not the Dboys. Dang it. With the PBS-4 suppressor, I'll be able to use a TBB as long as 488mm. So I'm lovin' it.

The CYMA version is pretty damn solid, and shoots pretty nice right out of the box, but until it has a longer inner barrel installed its range is very minimal.

I think the Dboys is a lot more solid, and I'm sure a lot of guys on here would back me up, hence why I'm more interested in one.
