I didn't know if I should have put this in the event planning area but I was wondering about the Tango Down field in Detroit? Has anyone been there, or how come I haven't seen any events being posted about it? To me it seems pretty nice, with seven floors and all of it renovated. I found them on the internet a few weeks ago and just saw a flyer for the field in my mail a few days ago. I want to know what you guys think of the place and if anyone has actually played there?

Pretty sure we have like 5 threads about this.

But none recent that I know of. What's Roger Monk supposed to do, necropost? I do think this belongs in Airsoft Discussion rather than Off Topic, since it's about airsoft, and I shall move it there.

Thanks zork, I will make sure I post in the right area next time. Also, I dont really go into many of the differend sections on MIA, so I didn't know there were threads already made on this topic.

Although I'm not a fan of indoor, Tango Down is probably the best indoor place to play in the Detroit area. Great staff, large building, game rooms, pro shop. I've been there twice last winter and had a blast each time. Definitely worth the trip.

I found the old thread, do they still have crazy fps limmits?

The one time I went there they seemed pretty butt hurt about how everyone here suggested MiA FPS limits and rules to them, so it's pretty safe to say that they haven't changed their minds and are still doing their own thing. They may also have multiple floors, but they are microscopic in size and can only comfortably fit 5-8 players before it gets to the point where you can't take a step without getting shot.

I was told that they closed down about a month ago and about 2 weeks ago they sold all there inventory 50% off retail price. I can not confirm this to be 100% true but that is what I heard. I went once, it was a good place and was fun but the $30 price tag kept me from going back.

They posted up a message on Facebook earlier today. They discounted their admission price to $15 for the rest of the month. Seems like they're still up and open.

Is it 15 for the first hour and 30 for the whole day? Thats what they did to me last time I went.

I was there last Saturday 7/12/14. They just charge me $15 (for admissions) for all day and they charge my friend $25 for gun rental package for all day. They prefer 350fps but you can have your gun up to 360fps not more then that. That's what I have been told.

They are relatively small but that does not mean they are bad. They offer fast pace games and a bit of strategic thinking on how to out flank your enemy. Normally the games last less then 5 minutes each and you play 5 or 6 one after another just switching sides and mixing teams up. If you have never been then I really do recommend going, it is a good place and the staff are good people too. The rentals are good guns as well. I used a VFC 416 and only cost me $20 for the whole day with it.

No defiantly not. if you ever been to East side, TD each floor is bigger than east side's whole building. I love their 5 floor, its totally CQB. I am here at TD playing today also and having fun. since they are running July special $15/$25 for field fee/rental package.

They have multiple floors (it's been a while since I've been there, a few months unfortunately) that can run ultimately at the same time. The nice thing about this is if you have 20 people there and 10 want to play a bomb game and 10 want to play a CTF (Capture The Flag) or some different style game both games can run at the same time without one having to wait because they're tired of playing bomb games or something of the like. They have also became a PolarStar dealer, so you can go check out the P*'s they have on hand and I believe (though I'm not 100% on this). They also should have an air-tank filling station for your HPA tanks. There was talk they were going to have P* rentals for use, but I can't confirm that. That was the talk before I had to take a break and as far as I know the first two things came to fruition (and checking their FB page it looks like it, just not sure on the P* rentals).
At any rate, it's definitely a place to go checkout and give it a shot at least once. Staff is awesome and things run smooth 99% of the time. It's a 1 day rate, not by the hour or anything like that and their FPS limits last I checked mimic MiA regulations, so there's no room for concern there.
