My friend and I were talking and we don't play any sports in school together cause i'm the only one who likes actual sports like football, ect. So he mentioned Airsoft and I had no clue it was a real sport for the past few days I watcthed videos of people playing and doing missions, and of gun reviews. I myself have come up with a "loadout" and i'm going to work on getting gear and once I have all the gear necessary I will join a team, but I don't know where to find any or how, and that goes for both of us and we need help.
If I don't reply on here you can email me at natethegreat5678@yahoo.com Thanks!

First I'll say welcome to the sport. Second their is a whole section dedicated to people trying to find each other to play together. These players could be your future teammates or that person you hate for no reason. Third if you gave us an area of where you lived it could help people find you or vice verse. Again though welcome to the sport. Edit: Here is the link to all recruitment threads and something I forgot. Generally their will be requirements that each possible member must meet to join usually those requirements will be posted in team recruiting threads.

Welcome Brother. My best advice is just to get out and go play. Don't be in such a rush to go out and join a team, learn and adopt to the sport. Meet new people, and have fun doing it.

Ok, thanks guys! Also I live in Hazel Park Michigan, and the reason I would like to join a team is cause it looks really fun and my friend and I both want to play Airsoft on the same team do you know of any teams near my area or good ones?

Teams don't really work that way. It's usually a group of friends who play together regularly who decide to establish something more finite. They'll recruit, but usually from other players that they spend a lot of time with on the field. You and your friend will have much better luck just trucking out to games at No Limits in Taylor and meeting the community. You'll find guys that have a similar approach pretty quickly and start linking up with them.
As for guns and gear, you might want to run that stuff by us. There's a lot of shit out there and it can be daunting to weed through it all,for experienced players, let along new guys. We're more than happy to help point you in the right direction.

That is way too much to spend on what you're looking at. Once I get back to a computer, I'll link better pricing. I just noticed you are looking at a gas rifle to start out with. You may want to rethink that, gas guns are quite a bit of work to maintain and run. For someone starting out, I wouldn't recommend it. www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=11089www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=13153www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_749_340&products_id=8258www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=7211Throw a coupon code in there and it's much less than on airsplat. Sub-Total: $454.49 Coupon Saved: $42.63 Final Sub-Total: $411.86 I'd still suggest going AEG over Gas for your first purchase. There is an events section on the board that has all the upcoming events. Go back to the main page, you can't miss it.

Coldwave reminded me of this most fields will require you to chrono your gun to make sure it's shooting legally. Lot's of CQB fields have the FPS limit set at 350. Theirs also a chart listing the MIA standards of FPS for players to follow.
Coldwave- You only reminded me because you suggested he buy .25's

If you're really on a budget, save yourself $35 and omit the Red/Green dot. It's just a tube of plastic with no magnification with a dot sitting in the center that will obstruct your view more than aid IMO.

I looked up No Limits and it's a Paintball place. Can you go there for Airsoft too? and when i get my gear she me and my friend just go to events or how does that work?

Yes you can play Airsoft there, Suicide kings do regular recs, however, for just starting out, I'd omit the midcaps and buy an extra high cap as you will find yourself using those more during rec games. The midcaps can come later with more expensive gear (MOLLE vest, etc)

Or you can save even more money and look into used weapons. You can usually find a decent package deal for a very good price.
