So, over the last 4 years, I've been out of the loop of big new things in airsoft due to my service and just life in general. Now that I'm heading back to Michigan and getting back into the airsoft scene soon, It's time to catch up on all the stuff I've missed. What's been comming out of the woodwork in our game over the last few years..guns, technology, other stuff.. My toybox and equipment is all 4 years ago and it's time to put some modern tech into my airsoft collection. Can ya'll bring me up to speed on things. I'm bored as hell and crankin away 2 cans deep on Monster on an early 0400-0800 watch today. In dire need of some wakeup reading material. Cheers All!!

Well, P* are taking over the world, the M4 variants have trumped all other challengers and stand in dictatorship, the MP5 has faded from the face of the earth (except for some select few), MC is now only for the cool kids while the hipsters all run Aor1, Da Vinci has become cool and Knief rules the world, M.S. Arc has become the sole expert of commerce, everyone still hates/loves Timm, and Pagan's mane is still flowing in the wind. Oh, and Troubador's been banned a second time. And Knife's kinda cool. Long live the 'Fish.

I like the summary Abbot, if there was karma I would offer you +1.
Welcome back Connors, how ya been man?
I would add that there are a ton of new faces on MiA nowadays, never a bad thing. A lot of the established members are still around as well. Guns, gear, and uniforms seem to be changing at an uber fast rate over the last few years...

Second time??...Hasn't Troubador been banned like 4 or 5 times... M4's have taken over..MP5's forgotten..You Say...? Well, I guess I'm gonna have to bring back sexy and re-introduce the P90 and M14 to the world then.
I've been good. Got into the real-steel world and spending metric fuck-tons of money on big boy guns. Done a bit of travelling and headed home for a few years. Right now I'm stationed in southeast Alaska, but I'll be home end of June headed to a new unit and change of pace.
I've notived the camo scene has changed BIG...I'm actually kinda mad, kinda happy. I don't plan on getting rid of my Multicam, at least not till I can get my hands on some BDU cut/Milspec AOR2. I've looked damn near everywhere for it and I cannot get my hands on it for the life of me.
I've been lurking in the shadows the last couple months and I've sene the new names. I'm gonna need to get out and get some field time logged this summer and put faces to the new names out there and get back into slinging palstic with the rest of you veteran folk.

Block II M4s are cool, G&G Combat Machines are God's gift to noobs, high speed low drag gear is awesome, to much high speed low drag gear makes people think you're a GMR wannabe, KWA owns the pistol market despite ugly AF trademarks and at times questionable performance (keep them SPOTLESS), Tokyo Marui is for cool people only, Walmart BBs are like heroin for your gun, people are starting to like foreign loadouts again instead of S3ALZ OMG, AKs are starting to come back in style, Multicam is king of camo (even though Kryptec is SO much cooler. C'mon guys, make it happen), Polarstars are becoming more acceptable and are slowly taking over like a brain parasite, Daytona guns are becoming a little more popular (that I've noticed anyway), LBT 6094s and Shellback Banshees were the God of Vests last summer (and still are, but the obsession has died down a little, not no champion has appeared has appeared to challenge their thrones), and gun chronos are taken very seriously after some kid snuck a metal BB gun into futureball and shot another kid in the face with it. All in all, its a pretty good time to be back!

Well we got this D-Bag named Ogre and his group of D-bags trying to organize games in Northern Michigan. Those have pretty much been hit and miss due to staffing issues, as I don't charge for my games. So yeah Free Scenario games have become a thing. Walmart carries somewhat of a decent starting AEG now. Everyone is getting R-Hop, probably the best thing to happen to Airsoft at this point, there is this crazy Youtuber called Jet DesertFox who shoots some of the best Airsoft videos I've seen. Evike does a Q&A discussion podcast thats pretty good.
Everyone is still waiting for KWA to release a AEG Kriss Vector.
EDIT: Canto is still peeing on everyone.

There was a joke where someone made "Da Vinci" a mod and there was an uproar over it, that was funny to watch.
Also welcome back, I'm probably a new name to you. Hope to play with you sometime.

What a coincidence Death dealer was just asking about you. I'm not sure why exactly, but he was. Anyway, not a whole lot has changed. Rhop is the next evolution of hop ups but is still a pain to install. Polarstars are basically classic airsoft's come back. On the east side Action paintball is our only decent option for outdoors. Pagan hosts those games. Team RAGE are the only ones close hosting MILSIMs and those are mostly taking place at Hell's Survivors. Both fields are great, but there are not a lot of options for outdoor fields to play at right now unfortunately. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards

Troub has indeed been banned many many times. Yes p*s have become a thing but I still fang get past that cord. If you want true realism, GBBRs have come a long way and of course I'd recommend the KJW M4 any day. MIA in general could still use a few good fields here and there. Maybe you can help revive sfod. Also lately guys like skypilot and crazyman have talked about making a comeback.
There are a lot of new members on the boards. We pick on them from time to time but generally they are pretty good sports about it. Glad to have you back man.
