I've recently gotten an AR15 buffer spring as the title implies. If I put this in my replica, would it hinder the functionality or potentially break it? Thanks.

It is a stiffer spring, so your rate of fire will probably increase. The only problem I can think of is that the bolt won't have enough power to cycle all the way back, due to the stiffer spring, and you might loose the bolt catch function because of that.

That's actually what happened down to a T.I wonder what would happen if I use the CO2 magazine instead of a green gas one.

I use CO2 mags in my WE Scar, in general they do add a bit of extra recoil, but I don't think it will be enough to work with a real steel buffer spring. The forces of a GBBR and an actual bullet are just worlds apart. I think you should stick with the original buffer spring or find an airsoft specific upgrade buffer spring. I have heard of people using real steel buffers with with the airsoft springs, and that seems to work for them, but I personally don't have expirence with that.

I use RS buffer in my m4 and I've tried the RS spring as well, it looks like doing that almost doubles the gas consumption and I could never go through half of the magazing in full auto(I managed to shot about 6 rounds in full auto in addition to 3 or 4 in semi). I used green gas though, don't know what CO2 can do.
