It was a fun game other than my SCAR's hop up was acting stupid and me screwing up my shoulder lifting my M60. Should have listened to the doc about lifting heavy objects.Â
I never liked the idea of box mags other than machine guns like SAWs, RPKs, M60s, etc. but for M4s, that's not cool. But at the same time, it's a rec game aka bring everything out to show off and wear anything you want.Â
I do hope there will be some milsim games this summer at No Limits. But I'm happy playing these rec games. It's always great to play with you guys, makes my month much better.Â
I will post my photos in a little bit.Â

For those of you who don't know, I run a YouTube channel called "CStingerGhost1". We record a lot of airsoft gameplay video from members of the GSAT and post it up there. So far, it's all been from Futureball. Coming out to this event was just awesome, and we have a lot of great video from it. Video montage is uploading as I type this, and I'll publicize it tomorrow. When I do, I'll post a link here.
As for the event, my team and I loved it. There were some issues but honestly...it happens everywhere. Most of it was based on misunderstandings. Good turnout

I had a good time. Didn't get to play too much between my gun shooting like shit, and then stripping a piston/gear. Breaking the group down into two groups, especially if the Castle is being used, helps a lot when there are that many people there.

I had a great time, good to see a lot of old friends, footlong chili dogs are not good to eat during lunch break.
My biggest gripe was because of the hit calling issues, most people dropped to the same level of immaturity by assuming everyone wasn't calling their hits and continually yelled "call your hits!!!" At one point on the brush by the fence, I was laying down and picking off green guys as they tried to advance. They yelled call your hits at me, even though they were not coming close to me. It got so bad I asked a ref to stand by me and watch, and they continued to yell as I took more out, even though their rounds were not hitting within 15 feet of me. Finally one was able to flank and hit me, I stood up and walked back to spawn. After the game, I overheard the same group of guys talking with the ref and complaining about me not calling hits, even though the same ref was specifically watching me.
I left after that.

I had a good time overall. Brought a co-worker out, former Marine. For his first time out to one of MIA's gatherings, he rather enjoyed it overall except just for the hit calling during the bomb run game. I had a blast running along side Triggs and his team during several games (finally got to meet you!). It was nice to see new and old faces coming out (didn't get a chance to chat with you Mosin) and even though I felt there was some confusion, it kind of took some of the fun out of it. All in all, besides being shot in the ass Forrest Gump style, running to A&W and paying for it later, and getting a workout, I'd like to try to come back to the game on the 10th. Thanks to Pagan and his team for running things!

...the hit calling during the bomb run game... This, too, was the only time that I experienced any issues with hit calling. And even then, after reviewing the video, I have found that most of the time when I or my team were angry at someone for not calling hits, they really weren't getting hit. There were only a couple of instances where you can see on camera that the guy actually got hit and didn't call it. This happened with a ref. standing right there, and I believe that the cheaters were warned or some action was taken. Regardless, I didn't let any cheating prevent me from having a good time. I mostly gave people the benefit of the doubt, and when they weren't calling it (or I just wasn't hitting them), I flipped to full-auto and dumped a few 24 RPS bursts. Then they definitely called it. On a much happier note, the montage is now up. Check it out here, it's very, very awesome: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx3n83JrkoY&list=PL22813ED90E5C7221&index=2

I was part of Green on that side early on. I don't know of if it was you, but there was one person over there definitely not calling the hit. I watched then get hit, and flinch, and not call it. I do agree about yelling about it though, it's certainly not called for. At the end of the day, it's still just a game.

Wasn't me, this was one of the last games where you only had two lives, I was engaging from roughly 50 yards prone the whole time.

I was on Green during the last force-on-force, and I think I saw you laying prone. I didn't hear too much yelling about not calling hits, but when I did hear it, it was directed towards another guy near you, not you. I was shooting at you but just couldn't land hits. I think I got close a few times though.

Was definitely not you, the person I'm thinking of was also not prone, but was crouched behind a tree.

After the game, I overheard the same group of guys talking with the ref and complaining about me not calling hits, even though the same ref was specifically watching me. ... You were the one wearing greyish pants or something vaguely that color, right? I was by the guys who were particularly loudly hollering bullshit about not hitting you, and while at first I thought it seemed fairly unlikely you hadn't been hit, once the ref came over I figured they'd cut it out if they were even getting close. Then it looked like you just stood up and walked off finally. At least one person assumed you got tired of "not calling your hits," or the ref'd said something to you. Had no idea you'd gotten flanked. That ref (I forget his name) did tell them during their complaining that their shots were landing in the ground a good five feet short of you, though. So their criticism was heard and promptly dismissed by someone who could obviously see you. Sorry to hear you left after that, the games after that ran pretty well.

I wasn't there but I watched the video. All I can say is now I want a GoPro. Nice job with the editing.
It seemed like most of the footage was from the perspective of the guy with the m16 with a red dot. It would've been cool if you mixed in more clips from the AK gun cam. Also in certain parts the music drowned out the actual sound, but overall the video was matched to the soundtrack pretty well. The slo mo scenes were pretty cool too.

Hey guys, can I get some feedback on the video? It was pretty good, nicely edited and the song choice was solid. There were just a few problems that I had with it personally. - I concur with Snarfdog in that the music drowned out the actual sound at certain times throughout the video.
- The majority of the time I couldn't see what or whom you were shooting at.

Video was pretty good, however following ThatUphamGuy's comment, you should add a kill marker after you get a hit. I know it's been done by just about every Airsoft Youtube video, but it works. Either come up with your own, or I'm quite fond of using the Battlefield kill feed messages. Just a thought.
Otherwise, was pretty cool running around with GSAT, and thanks for the props ThatUphamGuy, I felt I needed to apologize and am glad it was acknowledged!z
P.S. Props for using bullet points, I love those things!
