Some good times for sure. I really enjoyed myself there. Pegan does one hell of a job hosting which is why I will always come back.
Also, I really liked the sportsmanship from everyone. Everyone was very fair, of good quality and polite.

Great game as always from Pagan and the SK crew.
Pros: -A couple first time players -good turn out considering. -got to play them bbwarz - some really funny moments( me screaming like a girl when a supposed dud thunder b went off, the look I got when I told someone I was freezing my balls off, etc..) -barily heard people yelling about calling hits (2 times only). -for the most part, everyone I saw get hit on my team was calling hits. -no terrible unsportsmanlike conduct. -got to meet some new people
Con's: -windy as hell and so muddy I got stuck in the love shack's hallway. But oh well. -People blind firing a little bit. -most importantly, a bit of a safety thing. During the game, apparently someone had taken a bb to the lip and it had gotten lodged in there. I don't even have to explain why this is a no-no! We don't aim for the face. Doesn't matter if that's your only shot, there a lot of things that could get messed up when somone that's a bb to the FAC
Otherwise, all in all great

It was a great game and thanks for posting pics auzzie! I wish I could have stayed after lunch, but my back went out. BTW auzzie you doubled up on all the images in your post.
I need some clarification: Are shooting glasses adequate "full seal" eye pro? I had thought that only goggles and paintball type masks (no mesh, there are glasses styles like some Oakley frames that do seal to the face) were acceptable. Also, why was the lower face pro "rule" not enforced? Myself and my crew followed it, and I was sad to see people showing disregard for their health, especially when fighting in such close quarters. I don't think the argument can be made that everyone without a face cover had a mouthguard. I'm not mad at anyone (unless someone tells me who the perp was in the lipshot case), but teeth and eyes are expensive, painful, and sometimes permanent injuries. I shouldn't have to tell players either new or seasoned, and I mean no disrespect. If you want to take the chance and it is within the rules it is your right I suppose. However, what I'm asking for is clarification. I'm not trying to change the rules, as I am not in a position to do so, but I am a concerned and somewhat confused player.

The lower face covering rule isn't really enforced. Usually people may have it when they walk into the field the ditch it. I myself almost never wear lower covering outdoors but I know it's not the smartest choice.

However, what I'm asking for is clarification. I'm not trying to change the rules, as I am not in a position to do so, but I am a concerned and somewhat confused player. In order for shooting glasses to be allowed, they must be ANSI (ASTM F 1776-01, ANSI 87.1 2003 (civilian), or MIL-V-43511C (military) rated according to MIA regulations and they must have a full seal around the eyes. There have been a few players wearing these specific kinds of shooting glasses that meet the full seal requirement and are allowed to use them. Occasionally we catch new players who are wearing safety glasses that do not meet this requirement on the field and we inform them of the rule and escort them off the field. As for why the lower face protection rule isn't strictly enforced is because the field owner is trying to be as accommodating to us as possible, however when issues like this occur we run the risk of this changing, and the rule becoming very similar like it is at Future Ball. Additionally, heads shots are discouraged but are not illegal. The issue that occurred was an isolated incident of a player who was shooting within his MED. Unfortunately it happens and when paired with another player who isn't wearing full face protection and you get what happened yesterday.

The Oakley m frames have a gasket kit that makes them full seal and allow those. Regular shooting glasses are not allowed. The face protection is mandatory for 14 and younger. The injury that occurred was due to an asshole player shooting within their med. This is the exact reason why we have fps and engagement rules. Unfortunately the player who was shot couldn't positively identify who the shooter was. If he had been able to we would have removed them from the event and banned them from future events we host. I have an idea who it may have been and if they come out to our games in the future, they will be monitored very closely.

As usual, I had an absolute blast. The weather was definitely not perfect for airsoft, but everyone still seemed to have a fantastic time. Most people played fair and respectfully, but I have an issue I would like to address. When someone gives you the option of a bang kill, and you count yourself out, you can’t change your mind after the other player lowers their gun, and shoot them. That was absolutely ridiculous, and I hope the individual realizes that.
Thanks to Pagan and the rest of the SK guys. I will be out on the 19th!

That was absolutely ridiculous, and I hope the individual realizes that. That happened? Yeah once you call yourself out you are out of play until you re-spawn. Next time anyone sees that happen if it ever happens again, please reach out to a ref if you've identified the player who did it immediately and we will deal with them accordingly.
