Starting at 15 isn't such a bad thing right? So at what age and what event would it be good to start going to MILSIM/Operations? Any and ALL opinions are thanked, but do keep in mind that i'm trying to keep it in Michigan not beyond state boarders.

Technically it doesn't matter, I guess (it's an opinion thing) but I can say that I had an infinitely better experience at my one REC game at No Limits than I ever did at a weekend game at Futureball or the like (no offense Futureball, but SK knows how to run things). You get to meet all the cool people too.
Of course I've never been to a Milsim either, so why am I even talking? I've always wanted to go to one of Canto's events though...but they're so darn far away! (The reason I mentioned Canto's events is because the age limit is lower for those).

Well most milsim events are 18 and up. Events like Lion Claws or American milsim, as well as Blacksheep milsim events, all require players that are mature and respectable in game. These types of events are also very physically demanding, which is something to keep in mind. Most of the above mentioned events will require you to leave the state, but you should always keep them in mind for the future when you are old enough to attend them. There are milsim events held by local teams throughout Michigan, like Operation Western Gambit for example. These events are pretty similar to national events, with similar style gameplay and age requirements, but some allow younger players to be vouched for. Although the best way to prepare for being able to attend milsim events in the future is to go to as many rec games as you can. Doing so will get your name out into the community, and you can show older players that you are mature enough to be able to attend milsim events. Well best of luck to ya' in your future endeavors, and hope this helped

I have three years until I can go to things like Lion Claws or Irene so I could get a massive rep... possibly.

Well just by playing at local fields you would be able to build a reputation for yourself, as well as gain experience. And a lot of fields/teams will hold scenario events at different fields, which is a great way to get used to what milsim games will be like.

Considering that you're 15, whatever games your parents are willing to drive you to. I don't know where you live so it's hard for me to say. Not all MILSIM events require you to be 18. Canto's Scenario/MILSIM events typically have a lower age limit if you're able to make it out to Bangor to play airsoft. By attending a rec game such as the rec games at Action Paintball in Taylor we get pretty good turnouts at our games and there or any rec game for that matter, you will learn basic airsoft tactics (attacking, defending, flanking, working with a team of players, etc) and we also try to mix in objectives that you will see at MILSIM events so it's good practice for attending a MILSIM event.

Ahh well it sounds like the fields closest to you then are either Bangor or the Air House in Kalamazoo relatively speaking.
