Myers owns a scar L and has done quite a bit of work including installing a G&P gearbox. I'm not positive if he installed a new Hopup at the same time or not.. He may be worth contacting to find out though.

Neither will work. Or at least I strongly believe they won't. It will have to be E1 or other compatible SCAR specific units.
And I'm bit entirely sure what you have as If your gun has the 2 piece unit as opposed to the 1 piece.

This is what the SCAR runs. Neither of those hop-ups will work. First one is for an M4, second one is for an AK. I'm sure you can get the M4 one to fit with dremel-ing the body possibly if it doesn't drop in, but the problem is that the SCAR nozzle is longer than and M4 so the likely hood of feeding issues would be tremendous unless I guess you swapped for an M4 nozzle. I would probably just get a new DBoys one.

Ya that damn wheel keeps on falling off so ya I should hope the new one will not fall off any more.

Sorry for the late post, but I can confirm that the DBOYS/Echo1 SCAR has a proprietary hop up and a standard M4 hop up will not work. I tried installing a G&P hop up and it did not line up properly. IIRC, the M4 hop up wheel was un-accessable through the dust cover and I just didn't want to deal with all the customization required to make it work. I honestly don't even know if it is possible. I understand your dilemma with the wheel, though. There SHOULD be a tab that blocks the wheel from spinning off, there is on mine. The easiest route to go would be buy a new hop up and keep the old for parts, Echo1 sells them and are fairly inexpensive brand new. *EDIT* To make things clearer, here is an image that clearly shows the "tab" that locks the wheel into place. www.airsoftglobal.com/shop/images/CA-PT-P433M-AG-1.jpg
