Alright, this is basically a list of reviews of airsoft companies, as well as retailers. I will update AFTER people give a legitimate review of said company.
This is basically a all-in-one guide on where to buy stuff, instead of scouring the internet for reviews.
Retailers:
ASGI: www.airsoftgi.com/
Great place to buy just about everything. I've had no complaints with them, and have bought almost exclusively from them for the last 2 years. Highly Recommended. (Matic)
Never doing business with them AGAIN. Bought and AEG from them broke in the first 10 minutes of me receiving it and they would not refund me or fix the problem. Not recommended. (Raptor)
Great deals and coupon codes. Can sometimes be more expensive than Evike, but I've had much better customer support from them than Evike. (Arch-Angel)
I have dealt almost exclusively with ASGI, and I cannot say one bad thing about them. They have great customer service as well as a great selection of products. Just today I received an E-mail saying that the gun I ordered was back ordered. I called their customer service reps and they were able to track one down at the retail store and get it shipped out for me. If that's not great customer service I don't know what is. (Raider)
I always buy from them however when ever I get a gun from them the FPS is not what they say. My most reacent purhase labeled as 300-315 but when I tested it it was over 400. However after a spring change the gun is still working great and I would buy from them again, I just don't trust them as much when it comes to FPS. (Boomer)
Evike: www.evike.com/
Not much history with them, so can't say much to yay or nay on them (Matic)
A great place to get what you're looking for fast and effectively; however, not always the cheaper route. Especially with Magpul PTS products. They like to price the PTS products at the same price as the real steel ones and hope no one notices. (Arch-Angel)
Cheap, plenty of options, and great customer support. Never disappointed. 5 stars. (Rios)
Ehobby Asia: shop.ehobbyasia.com/
I've bought a few things from then, and no complaints. (Matic)
EB Airsoft: www.ebairsoft.com/
Basically a cheaper, Chinese version of Ehobby Asia. That being said, not too bad for what you're paying (Chinese Clones). Expect a long *ss time for shipping, though. (Matic)
Ebay: www.ebay.com/
I don't always buy from Ebay, but when I do, I've had good experiences with the sellers. Remember to check the sellers rating before you buy. (Matic)
I love Ebay. It's a hit or miss on good deals though. Sometimes you get insane deals and other times, you get ripped off. Like Matic said, always check the seller's rating. (Arch-Angel)
Kalamazoo Airsoft:
Come on guys, it's KA. Buy from Chad and Hollis, help KA grow. Granted, a few things could be lower priced (BBs specifically ), but it's great to help out local and small businesses. Highly Recommended. (Matic)
This is the place to go if you want AWESOME stuff from Great people like Chad and Hollis. Highly Recommended (Raptor)
Airsplat: www.airsplat.com/?stc_adid=20130116&gclid=CJ26q7Sdw7YCFao-MgodUkoAAw
Bought a few guns from them. Fast shipping, and great customer service people. Recommended. (Raptor)
They get it done. Not spectacular shipping or customer support, but never had too bad of a time with them. (Rios)
UPDATE
Not a fan at all, ordered 2 times from them, first time they took their time to ship it, which was fine, but the second time Ive been waiting for well over a month. Not impressed. (Rios)
Airsoft Atlanta
Airsoft Atlanta is pretty decent at shipping out goods the same day they're ordered, but the negative of that is that you only have a half and hour to decide to cancel the order, as they only take calls between 10-5 Monday-Friday. Screwed me out of $60 last week. (foxsportsdet)
Airsoft Smith
I actually bought a battery and some magazines from Airsoftsmith.com recently, and I hold them in very high regards. Apparently, my browser double-clicked my order, creating 2 of them and double charging me. Their customer service called me today to alert me of the issue, and after a brief conversation, he removed the extra order, and gave me a 20% discount for the inconvenience. I rate AirsoftSMITH 10/10, and will definitely be shopping there a whole lot more. (foxsportsdet)
Airsoft Manufacturers - Guns:
KWA:
Gas gun wise, they're top notch. I've had my pistol for 3 years, and it is a tank of a pistol. AEG's, however, I'm not a fan of. I had a G36c for a bit, and it was lackluster, so buyers beware their AEG's. (Matic)
Best gas guns for the price hands down. Amazing sidearms and incredible customer service. (Arch-Angel)
I've owned an mp7, and a USP compact, made by KWA. The products were great, when they worked. Both were GBBs, and I take care of my GBBs. However, my KWA literally had parts just falling out of the bolt, and the USP's trigger snapped right away. I really like KWA's guns, but they just have given me so many issues that other companies haven't. Before you rule them out, I hear nothing but AWESOME about their GBB lm4s (M4s). I have a few friends who own them, and they love them. KWA's AEGs however, have a lot of proprietary parts, and come stock with an aluminum piston head, not good. Some people do get good results out of them, but I get a lot of mixed reports on these AEGs, so make sure to research your model's issues and problems. (Sleepy)
I only had one issue with KWA, and that included problems with my M226. Apparently it had an issues the the slide returning back after firing. It was really annoying...getting a RMA soon and sending it back for repairs because i guess this is an issue i found out on their forum. (Archrival)
BRAVO:
I have a shotgun from them, and I love it. Not sure about their other stuff, though. Talk to others who have bought their other stuff. (Matic)
I bought a ball bearing spring guide for my m4 last year, and there has never been any wear. Good quality for the relatively cheap prices. Keep in mind that they sub-par in quality, but will do fine in a pinch. (Sleepy)
D-Boys:
I had a SCAR-L from them as my first Airsoft gun, and that thing was a f*cking tank. No problems with it at all. I highly recommend their SCAR-L as a good starter gun, or project gun. (Matic)
G&G Armaments:
I own one of there CM16 Raiders and it is amazing no issues once so ever with the rifle. Highly recommended. (Raptor)
By far the best polymer weapons I have ever used. Even better than the polymer Ares g36 is made out of. I've heard stories of receivers getting run over by trucks and surviving. I love this company to death and for the price they are one of the top dogs. (Arch-Angel)
G&G, is simply awesome. They have the best sport line m4 series I've every seen, with the strongest polymer bodies EVAH. No matter who you ask, I'll bet anybody who owns one will talk great about it. They are great little beginner guns, and are good enough quality to make projects out of them. This would be my first recommendation for a beginner. If you aren't on a budget, there are definitely other great options. (Sleepy)
Tokyo Marui:
Somewhat overrated, yet still one of the best. The accuracy on these guns is like no other;however, I have heard and experienced a lot of the stock tm parts are pretty cheap plastics and easily broken during upgrading. (Arch-Angel)
This company is one of the oldest Airsoft companies. They are like the father of Airsoft. Their guns last forever, but shoot in the 270-300 FPS range, as they are a Japanese company. These guys are great, and are known for their accurate hop-ups. They also produce GBBs, and guns in almost ANY model. (Sleepy)
ECHO 1:
Echo 1 products are generally pretty good. Their cheap guns are cheap, and their expensive guns are not cheap. You get what you pay for really. Now, some of their parts are much like JG's parts, and they are like JG, but a little better in quality.
A good step up from jg, but if you have limited money, I'd still recommend g&g over echo 1's lower end options. (Sleepy)
JG:
These guys are also a popular choice for beginner guns. Namely m4's, but I hear they have nice AK's too. I've generally had a good time with jg, but watch all their plastic internals, they are prone to breaking. They also have a two piece hop-up, and I honestly hate these two piece pieces of crap. They are not compatible with a lot of other receivers/guns. Overall though, if you are just getting into the sport, I recommend jg almost up next to g&g. (Sleepy)
VFC:
Amazing exterior and interior bodies. I have a HK416 from them, and I absolutely love it. They are also the platform that Polar Stars were based off of, so if you get a P* into one of the bodies (Like me), you'll be good to go. (Matic)
Airsoft Manufacturers - Gear:
Condor Outdoor:
(NOTE: This is my review on using CO for airsoft, not sure on real life usage in the military)
Great gear for the price. It's something I recommend to all of those who aren't out to make an expensive loadout, or want to spend the extra money of gear. (Matic)
Airsoft Manufacturers - Accessories and Parts:
Madbull:
I own/did own a few Madbull parts, and I have to say they rock. Their tightbore inner barrels are fantastic. I have two right now, and they both look, and function great. I also own one of their buckings. It works consistently, and accurately paired with the tightbore barrel. They also make REALLY cool flash hiders, and tons of m4/m16 externals. I haven't owned any of their rail systems or barrels etc, but I hear nothing but good about them. Definitely a company to look into. (Sleepy)
SHS:
I only have a piston that is SHS, and it has performed good so far. I hear it is a hit or miss with SHS, and that every once in a while they get a certain batch of messed up parts. When you get nice parts, they work great (like my piston), but I've had quite a few people tell me about bad incidents with defects etc. (Sleepy)
Systema:
I bought a few Systema parts to install into my JG m4 a while back, they were excellent. To name them, I got a piston head, piston, and tappet plate. All of them lasted until I sold the gun, and preformed great. Systema is one of the higher quality aftermarket parts manufacturers you can buy from. (Sleepy)
Guarder:
I have bought quite a few aftermarket parts from Guarder. Namely a piston, a steel mag catch for a friend's GBB pistol, and a few other GBB pistol parts. The piston has almost NO wear from about 3 months use at around 17-18 rps with a m85 spring (~290 FPS). It is Swiss cheesed, an has the angle of engagement corrected. Great piston, and light enough (un-Swiss cheesed) not to pre-engage on a m85. The GBB pistol that I installed the parts on was a WE g17. My friend has had NO issues with the gun, parts, or anything after many of the stock WE-tech parts were replaced by Guarder. Great company, a bit more pricey, but DEFINITELY worth the price in quality. (Sleepy)
Modify:
I have bought a steel cylinder head from them, an m80 spring, and a tappet plate (all of these are AEG internals to those of you who don't know). First of all, the spring has stayed the same FPS over almost a year, with almost no warping, and no FPS loss. The cylinder head and tappet plate were both ok, worked fine. I would say they are another... "Budget company" for those looking into upgrades. They have suited me fine on a budget, but like Bravo, they really aren't the best out there. (Sleepy)
Will update when more information is posted from your reviews.
I also ask that you put something like (*Your username*) like (Matic) or (Arch-Angel) after you post something. Makes putting your information into this thread a lot easier. Thank you.
Mods: If you want to take over for moving this, or editing this, I'd greatly appreciate that. Also, this is from the KA forum, that is what there are so many reviews on it right now.
