Yes, something like that. I leave mine stock till something breaks then start upgrading. I personally have techs do my work for me since I'm usually backed up with GBBs for customers. I've owned KWA and VFC before and currently own a G&P, I never really got the performance I was looking for out of my old KWA, the performance I got out of VFC and G&P blew my KWA out of the water. Alright cool, thanks for the info.

Not sure what Gen KWA you had but I know the ones that came out last year were quite a step up in quality, Mine is and I couldn't be happier with it other than me deciding I want a DMR.

My KWA preformed flawlessly again at Western Gambit, last Saturday. Mine hasn't been through quite as much abuse as X's, but it has seen its fair share of use and abuse. I've never cracked open the gearbox, but I have put a Prometheus tightbore on it, and R-hopped it. I've only ran 11.1V Lipo's through it since day one. It shoots around 23 RPS and last Saturday it chronoed at 395 FPS. The exact chrono readings were 395, 395, 395. So yeah, it's consistent. I run MAG brand midcaps solely on it.

What measure of performance are you talking about? Your statement is entirely vague. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards

Range/accuracy. The RPS was fine, and faster than both my G&P and my VFC. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way saying that it's a bad choice, I'm simply saying that given the price I'd take a G&P or a VFC over a KWA.

No matter what all of these brands (KWA, VFC, G&P) will probably perform similarly, though each situation may vary as there's always a bad round of QC and a good one even in these brands. If you're still starting out to an extent I'd probably save a little bit of dough and go the G&G route and maybe pick up some accessories instead of forking over more dough on a gun. VFC to me is spending more money on trades/externals and their internals are meh. G&P are nice all around IMHO. KWA's are overpriced for what you pay for, meh internals and proprietary parts are not my flavor. I'd probably say G&P > VFC > KWA, I've just never been a KWA AEG "fanboy". But that's my personal opinion out of all the guns I've worked on I rarely see the G&P's come back. For a normal user that may run at most a 9.6v and doesn't touch anything else all of these brands will function similarly in my experience/opinion. So why pay more unless you're looking for a specific look (IE trademarks or something offered the others don't).

I would really love to compare the range/accuracy of my R-hopped KWA to your guns. I'm not saying mine is better or worse, I've just never had a good side by side comparison with someone else's gun. I feel mine is highly accurate and has awesome range, but I'd love a comparison with some other guns that people feel are also performing exceptionally.

There's quite a bit of different with RHop and non RHopped guns (this obviously doesn't affect the OP as he probably really won't RHop). Even with 2 RHops, you still have the aspect that two RHops don't operate the same. One could be fine tuned better then say another. It's less science and more of how fine tuned did the installer do with the RHop.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm going to buy something in the price range of the KWA I posted. As soon as I have the time for airsoft I will have the money as well, so I'd rather buy something nice that will last me for a long time. I'm kind of one of those people where I only like to buy the high quality stuff, I guess There's quite a bit of different with RHop and non RHopped guns (this obviously doesn't affect the OP as he probably really won't RHop).
