Hello everyone as of recently I completed the majority of my load out (plate carrier, bdus, mag pouches and mags) my base layer is ACU and my plate carrier is tan so what helmet would you recommend in tan?

I haven't run a helmet in a while, but I generally recommend a helmet color that isn't green or tan. Mostly this has to do with being able to use the helmet no matter what your team color is. For example, if you're on the "green" team, wearing a green base layer, but have a tan helmet, you're a lot more likely to be shot at by your own team. You could remedy this situation by buying a straight green helmet, but then you have the same friendly fire issues cropping up when you run your green helmet while on the "tan" team.
If you're wearing a gray or black helmet, people actually have to look at you for a bit to figure out what team you're on.
One way to avoid this whole mess is to buy a helmet in whatever color you like and then use helmet covers to match whatever team you're going to be on.
As to helmet model, I suggest something as small and light as possible. I've had a Protec, a real MICH and a real PASGT in the past and the real helmets rarely got worn because of how heavy/hot they are.
The new, replica Ops-core style helmets seem really nice.

I've never gotten a close up look at an airframe, but they're bound to be small and light.

Hey Bishop,
Can you provide some specifics about that helmet? Your recommendation would be a lot better if you gave the OP some info on that particular brain bucket and why you like it.

I have never handled a DR helmet, but for the price of a real MICH 2000 I don't see what all the rage is about, especially considering that the DR's rails, Velcro, shroud, and shell color don't even come close to matching the real deal which totally ruins it. This question is way too broad to give a single definitive answer since for the most part helmets are not needed in airsoft and are mostly for looks. If you want a FAST, the new FMA maritimes look really good for the price. I have a TMC airframe, which is the only airframe replica on the market right now but is also sold under various other names. The pads in the TMC are total junk and need to be replaced right out of the gate but the stock strap would be tolerable though I replaced mine with an ops core right away. The rails are also pretty cheap but I haven't gotten around to swapping mine out yet, thought I plan on doing it soon. Also, most people find the airframe quite small and the TMC is only available in a medium, though apparently there is a new brand coming out soon in more than one size.

I like the dragonred because its a solid helmet. Its padding is really nice and comfortable. The Nape on it is really secure and can be adjusted really easily. The arc rails seem to be of high quality, and comes with nice head-loc clips so you can mod your goggles or a mesh mask to clip right to your helmet.

The OpsCore Bishop recommended looks very nice and I have heard that about TMC padding but replacement padding isn't awfully expensive
