Do to the overwhelming amount of players that are signing up for Lioness. I am wanting to host one last game at the end of the summer before I officially call it quits on Airsoft and hosting for while. Since there isn't going too many "Big" events in Michigan this year (Come back Northren Light, come back) I want to begin looking into hosting in a bigger area, while the place in mind isn't build up like most fields, it has many terrain variations, hills and trails that would make it an amazing AO. It would also be an awesome place for many vehicles like Gators, Kubotas and golf carts, maybe a small truck.
Who would be interested in attending such an event? This would be a milsim and I would want to work with another team in getting this set up and hosted, coming up with objectives, marking the place off to avoid other players getting lost, set up, tear down and clean up. Cost would be anywhere between $20-$30 each player, with onsite camping, electricity, and showers available. Biodegradable BB's may or may not be required, I am awaiting the property owners response.
Best thing is, this hunk of property is only a mile to two away from the OCAA field so players familiar with coming to are events won't find themselves getting lost.

Not to rain on your parade, but keep in mind no other events have been posted past yours yet. I know both Canto and Mosin are planning events later in the year, and we're going to be doing another MIA field day. It gets difficult to plan months and months in advance, unless you're a large operation like LC or Blacksheep who do this on a much larger scale. I think your OP won the lottery that there wasn't anything else planned at the time, and when a bunch of older members started signing up, it gave the rest of us an opportunity to all go out to a game.

Figured as much, just wanted to see if there was interest.

By all means go for it, just don't plan/count/expect the same numbers. You can think you have a great game set up and no one shows.
It's happened to us all.

I have the same reservations as Pagan. It would also depend on how successful your lioness event actually goes as well.
It would be cool to have a massive game, but setting up a 120 acre field for one event and then taking it apart afterwards is logistically difficult. Also, all your past games have been free, and last I looked there are different legal/insurance complications that apply when you actually charge for a game. Charging for your game will also push away some of the players you normally get, and many of the players I've seen at your past events are far from Mil-Sim players; so you would really have to attract a ton of players who wouldn't normally attend your games.
That said I'd try to make it.

I'd be excited for a game like this, and I be willing to help make it happen.
As others have mentioned, there are a few obstacles, the smallest not being the need to actually attract people to wherever the field is. Obviously, we've got a lot of good land up here in Northern Michigan, but a lot of folks from down South aren't going to drive 2-3 hours for a game.
I think the best way to guarantee participation is to enlist the help of the major teams. That way help is being provided by the same people who will be showing up to play. For Lioness, guys from RAGE and SK have volunteered to help, but for a future game you could enlist those same folks along with people from 3.14, DOOM, Thunder Cocks, Savage Souls, Immortal, etc.
The word on Lioness was spread not just on MiA, but also on FB where people got pretty hyped up for it and went out to get their friends involved. The key is to recreate that hype for another event.

I like the idea of how that sounds, but for a game that huge, you're going to need a lot of help and a big turnout to make it worth it.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on a response from the owners, there website says emails will be answered in two business days and it has been more than 5 :/. The major issue I could see is the fact that any structures made would have to be temporary, which will put a major hamper on the type of scenario and game play that would be played out, but I digress, if we get enough teams working together, chances are we can get the supplies to build some kick ass temporary structures and objectives.

I wouldn't mind seeing another event (besides Lioness) up north this summer. I actually just got done reading the AAR from Jackal IV, and it seems to me (bear with me, I'm about a year's noob time into the scenario deal ) That 2 events a spring/summer/early fall would be better than one huge spring/summer one and one huge late fall/winter one. The colder ones seem to present the most problems from what I've seen. Just the combination of warmer weather, less school, cranky low pressure system attitudes, and lack of snow are appeals for scenario newbies like myself Either way, I'd totally go. I'm only seven miles from you guys.

Sign me up when everything has been cleared. So long as age restrictions aren't present. Speaking of age restrictions I feel (personally) that 15+ would be good. I got some friends I could likely get to come to the event so long as their able to attend the event. Hope the operation, scenario, or whatever it ends up being comes to be light for all to play.

Called the Sports and Trails center where this event will be held. They are interested, I just need to get with a few teams to help plan the event and come up with objectives. The only major hurdle I see is that everything build is going have to be torn down the day after the game, but I'm sure that won't be too much of an issue.
So anyone willing to help/plan/lend supplies?

I'm sure myself and most of immortal will be more than willing to help, as well as the other major teams on these boards. We all enjoy playing on large fields so we would like to see this event happen.
