Hello all my name is Jerrod. I'm trying to get back in to airsoft after a very long hiatus. I figured I would start by introducing myself. I have lurked this forum for a good month and a half. Everyone here seems to be a good person and it would be awesome to hangout and shoot at each other. Other than that I have one massive problem. I live in BFE 30 miles west of Timbuktu. Any and all fields are a good hour away from where I live.

I'm sure you'll be able to find either someone who lives close, or knows of some where close for you to get some trigger time in.

I live in the booming metropolis of Laingsburg. Sadly, there aren't a lot of fields in that area, but there are quite a few players. I'm sure you'll be able to hook with some people here.

Is Canto still hosting games at the field just south of Lansing? And there once was games in Lowell. I believe these locations should only be a 25-30 minute drive. Watch the events section, I'm sure there will be a few games in your area.
And have patience, in the next few months there will be more events lined up than you can shake a stick at.

No unfortunately. It's been a good couple years since Canto hosted an event at Charlotte. The field closed, but did re-open under a new owner and I know Wraith531 from Capital City Airsoft was hosting some rec games when it re-opened, but not enough airsoft players have been coming out to Charlotte since Canto was hosting MILSIM events there. Also, I don't recall seeing any events being hosted by Triggs and SABR over at the Lowell field in 2013. Unortunately Castle you're going to either have to drive up north for whatever remaining games will be at the OCAA field, or West to Bangor, or East to the fields near South East Michigan.

Yeah that's what I've come to realize. I'm SOL on a field close to me for the time being. Thanks for everyone's input.

I believe Kir 3.14 had plans to open a field in Hastings this spring. I'm not sure on where they stand with this due to the near impossible work conditions this winter has brought, but you may want to contact him. It's still an hour and a half away, but that's miles closer than kzoo and a touch closer than Detroit. Also, If i recall correctly, The possible 2nd coming of SFOD may be in Montrose, about an hour NE of you. You can also look here to try and find some contacts (Thunder Cocks are probably closest to you.)
