Yeah I'm a big fan of surplus bdus, but I feel that now if I want to step my game up I'm going to have to buy a nice gun and put a lot of up grades into it, and I will need new gear to back it up. Not to mention relevant colored gear, because I currently have all acu, but for milsim that shit doesn't fly, so I think I'm either going to get M81 bdu's and possibly a combat shirt in that camo, and a tan plate carrier. And as I look through that thread for people to post their rig setups I find that 6 mags will be more than enough. Or even 8, but having a triple double stack mag pouch seems bulky on its own, so to carry 8 I will probably utilize the MOLLE on the side or on the utility pouch, depending on what I end up buying in terms of pouches

Before you go surplus store shopping, ebay usually has fantastic deals on issued cammies and the like. I picked up a full set of Desert Marpa for 24$ shipped to my door. This was truspec, nearly unused stuff too.

I would hold off on buying any camo until you know the requirements of a game that you know you're going to attend. For example Northern Light required an OD top so your M81 top would be useless.

Also, ACU is totally fine for milsim, it was the standard uniform for the US Army for several years so it's totally good to go, but if you want M81s then go for it. I personally think M81s look better than ACU and they definitely do a better job at concealing you.

ACU is technically accurate for MILSIM, but lately I haven't seen it used much. For example, you could not wear ACU at NL3/NL4, and you could not wear it at any of the team RAGE MILSIMs that have taken place recently. Besides that, like you said, it kinda sucks in our environment.

RUST, are you planning on doing an impression? If not, I would go with a chest rig rather than a plate carrier. The point of using a plate carrier is to run it with rifle plates intended to stop real bullets. Since we're shooting each other with little plastic balls, armor isn't really necessary. A chest rig will provide you with greater mobility in a lightweight package. Here is an example: linkFor $99 you get a piece of high quality, US made kit. Slap radio and canteen pouches to the sides, and you have everything you need for 99% of all airsoft events.

As far as a 6094 plate carrier, I own a Flyye 6094 in coyote brown and I love the real estate space available. Airsoft megastore is where I purchased mine and I believe they have some that come with some pouches too.

ctres is absolutely right. Condor is pretty low quality, especially for the money you're paying for it. And that Rothco carrier is a Condor MOPC with a different tag. Check this out instead: www.shootercbgear.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_50_51_95&products_id=690The PC by itself sells for $105. The pouch set, if bought individually, sells for $72. You get the set for $115. I don't think there's a better deal anywhere for a decent quality PC after you add in pouches. FLYYE, while still clearly a step below real steel gear, is quite a bit better than Condor and the other low end ACM stuff. For a low price PC, you're not going to find better. It's either this or you look for chest rigs or try to score a good deal on something used, like an ebay'd RRV that may stay low: Also if need a larger size, you can find that same vest deal on Armypanda for a little more ($10 or 15 bucks maybe?)

They have it in a large (listed as "medium" but it's actually larger than the real EPC in L/XL) on Shooter as well.

I just purchased a Flyye 6094 from this site, also a few other things that I was going to buy from another site but found here for a better deal. I will still have to wait a few weeks to get the pouches, mags, and new gun, but at least now ill have time to save a bit more cash to be able to pay for all of that. I also have to get bdus but Im going to check Joes first to see what I can get there, otherwise Im just going to get everything on ebay. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lF_DIXXrIg Also this video by Legionnaire really showed everything about this plate carrier and pretty much covered all the things I needed to know about it. That site that Knief posted is actually pretty nice, and the shipping isn't too outrageous, unlike some sites that ship from Hong Kong. Thanks

The Flyye 6094 is fantastic, and I think you would be very happy with your choice. I've owned one in AOR1 for a while now and have had not one problem with it. Personally I like the look of the pc, the way it feels, and the amount of space it gives me for pouches. But as it was said before, PCs are a personal choice based off of what you are looking for and what your preferences are (unless you are doing an impression, then you might be limited on choices). In the plus side, it will be easy to sell on here if it is not what you were expecting.

Now, aside from all the pouches I will need to buy, I have to pick a color to get for my BDUs. I want to go with the woodland color scheme, but now I have to choose between M81 woodland or Woodland Marpat. Out of the two I like Woodland Marpat more, but im not sure on how well it will conceal in Michigan. Does anyone know how well it works in the woods of Michigan?

5.11 TacTec PC is what I run now, excellent quality and comfort, but pricey. Just remember with clones you get what you pay for. Condor is a decent choice though.
