Like already mentioned camping hasn't been verified. At least as of last night. They are still working out the terms of the contract with the Ohio DOC. Either way hotels are cheap when split a few ways. Also look into hotels in Marysville, Ohio and not Delaware. Technically the AO is closer to Marysville than Delaware. Based on my online search, hotel rates are also cheaper in Marysville compared to Delaware Ohio. EDIT: And yes the general agreement is that we are rolling green for this event. It works for the majority since we all have woodland from the last two LC events in Michigan and Mike "Bubba" Moore is commanding the Russian Renegade team. And we like "Bubba" a lot. Sounds good to me. And yeah a hotel is seeming like it'll be the better option as long as there are others willing to split the cost on a room, which I'm sure there will be. And when you say woodland, do you mean marpat or M81? because if its M81 ill just go get a combat shirt and trousers in that color no problem.

Marpat and M81 are both on the acceptable camo list for this op.

Marpat and M81 are both on the acceptable camo list for this op. I saw that on the lion claws web site I was just wondering which camo all of us from Michigan would be wearing because it would look weird to have almost everyone in m81 and a couple in marpat or whatever it would end up being. just so we look more like a squad with the same camo color

So you're going to have people from all over the country wearing different camos. It's pretty safe to say, most of the players from MIA will be wearing M81, since that's what we've all used for the past two Northern Lights. I know everyone I'm in a squad with will be wearing M81. We've already got a full 12 together.

I may or may not have a bigger car by then, but either way my current car can be used to transport 3 people and a small amount of gear, or it can be packed full of gear, either way its available.

Last year quite a few ran OD combat shirts and m81 pants. So I would assume that to be the easiest for all of us going. I as of yet don't have a group of six or more to register with as alum so if there are a group of five looking to reg with me or let me reg with them that would be cool. As far as a hotel, it was a nice thing to have last year at N.L. Because it rained and a shower after running around all day was really nice.
Me and the wife will be getting a room for sure as she is excited to get away from work for a weekend any way. But from what she has told me there aren't many malls/shopping centers very close. So she will be finding some thing to do while I am at the game all day both days.

Yah, Gunslinger, my wife has family that lives in Delaware, and it is a pretty rural area with a bit of old industrial. I've only been through their downtown area later in the evening, and there wasn't a whole lot going on then, but it looks like there are some shops that could kill a day. It isn't too far from some of the Columbus attractions either.

Well if you don't end up registering on the pre reg for alum id be willing to register with you for normal registration, because id rather be on a squad with others from michigan rather than with a bunch of randoms from some other state

Yeah that's no big deal. I was hoping more people would be going to his game that I know like wildcard and judge and roughneck but they all either have work or what ever so looks like that might be what I will have to do is wait until the 16th.

Might not be able to make this event sadly, but if I can then I will no doubt be there. I just started the enlistment process today for the Marine Corps, and even though I won't be leaving til around november I will probably have other things going on to prepare and get locked down before I leave, which might not leave any time for this OP, unfortunatly.

I highly suggest not camping. Yes it's cheaper, however that's where the benefits really end. After a long day of humping it around with gear, sweating, squatting, crawling, moving up and down floors; in short, your ass will be beat. A hot shower at the end of the day, a comfortable bed, heat / AC, movie, or just a place to get out of the elements. Trust me when I say it's worth getting a hotel room. You'll be more refreshed and ready to go the following day, and for the drive home was well. And no body likes packing a wet tent from the rain.
If you can't budget the hotel room for 2 nights, then perhaps you should consider the following year. (No offense) This isn't your typical Michigan Airsoft game; those tweaks in your AEG, or that tightbore, gear bag, etc.. Attend to those needs before for this game.
Personally, I would budget a total of $650, this includes registration fees, Bio-BB's, gas, hotel, food, etc. Breakdown: Registration: $200 BB's: $50 Hotel (2 nights): $200 Fuel: $100 Food: $75 Misc: $25 Asshat Good times / Happy Endings: ($300) --Split Hotel and Gas costs for carpooling.
In short, you and your gear need to be at their very best for this event, otherwise you just pissed away $200 and a awesome weekend of airsoft.
The people attending bring their very best (of everything), you should too.

I don't think I spent that for NL but hey I'm a cheap date. I'm tentatively going if I can get squeeze out the extra change from my purse.

Last year Northern Lights was 300 for the two days hotel, entry to the game was 160 I think last year or what ever but again it was out of pocket LONG before I went to the game so the cost for that as well doesn't really count towards the game weekend. food was easily around 150 ish, gas was maybe 150 as well but my wife did some driving while I was at the game, every thing else I bought before the game so I didn't count that into my costs. But I sold a couple rifles for 400.00 each and some other odds and ends and so the whole game was pretty much "free".
So alum can Register TODAY is the five guys that need a sixth to reg with? Other wise I will have to wait until the 16th.

Granted I don't think I spent that much either when I went to NW. I always budget for extra when planning for an event. The largest factor I see is fuel, and we all know how fuel can drastically change. And carpooling is a great cost savings. If I can get the VW bus working, I can pack 9 people. I've seen people camp, rain, more rain during the night, tent leak, boots don't dry out and attempt to run around Sunday morning with blisters. It doesn't work, and those players become miserable, and commonly bash these type of events. I would like to see people enjoy themselves at these events and get as much from the event as possible. If you are spending $200 on registration, wouldn't you want to be at your every best each day?

Yeah that's true. I've always stayed in a hotel because I just can't get comphortable in a tent. Plus a nice hot shower at the end of the day can not be beat!
