My first Major(over $100) purchase with Airsoft on Airsplat.com occured about half an hour ago... The whole time i was a little frightened id pull one of the noob moves and buy a bad item... so let me know how i did please. Here goes: G&G Combat machine - ~$97.00 Grip - ~ $9.77 Charger - ~ $16.47 Eye Protection - ~$9.47 Low prices due to Airsplat's 35% off all products deal that ends today. Overall i paid about ~$150.00 after shipping/handling How'd i do??

Thats actually pretty good.
I'm just questioning two things: Which goggles did you get that were originally 13$? And what about bb's?

BB's i am purchasing from a local surplus store. On clearance .20 BB's selling by the 5000's for about $15.00 a pop. The name of the goggles were BOBSTER Wrap around safety goggles.. that was actually my second question. Are these legal at MiA fields/games for eye-protection use? i think the link is in my post, but ill link again. www.airsplat.com/Items/AC-APP-BW201Y.htm

I don't see why they wouldn't be. They're full seal, and straps to make it goggles. I actually had some bobster goggles. Not bad, but they will fog up pretty quickly.

They should be accepted, although Pagan and other event hosts can weigh in more there. I'd say you got a good deal, but be wary of low quality bb's. They're thet reason my G3 no longer works

What should i be wary of when buying them? I know to never even glance at a .12 BB, haha. Other than that, though?

For any AEG, it's an absolute no for .12's, as you stated.
But there's a lot more than just that.
The more polished the bb's appear, the better, That tends to mean they will be a little rounder. Cheaper bb's tend to have seams, which can split apart and destroy some of the internals of your guns. Cheap bb's can also not be round. I bought a bottle of crossman .2's for an AEP and found that out the hard way. it gouged the inner barrel pretty bad. It was a crappy gun, so no harm done; but a 150$ AEG is a little bit harder to replace.
As far as my experience goes, ordering bb's offline is a hassle, but it's also a 100% necessary one. Matrix, Goldenball, G&G, p-force and the like will all be better than anything you'll find at most surplus stores.
What brand are the one's your looking at?

Ouch, thank you for informing me. Crossman just the same. Ill steer clear of them then. Do you know if those brands are sold in any retailer stores? Goldenball sounds familiar but i have been lounging around the airsoft sights for quite a while its hard to tell.

Goldenball is mainly found at Airsoftmegastore.com Matrix is at Evike.com I have no idea what's at airsoftgi.com P-force is pretty much everywhere.
I've only used the pforce .3's, but i hear they're all pretty good.
I'd stick with either Matrix or Goldenball, they've both done well by me.

I have been using Airsoft Elite for years. I love them. In fact the only reason I don't use them right now is because they don't make .30 BBs which is now what I use. This is a link to them on Airsoft GI. It is out of stock right now, but you can see how they are every bit as inexpensive as what you can get locally, but they are high quality. www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=229

I'll have to look into them then! Gun wont be here for about a week in a half :/ low stock at Airsplat i guess. So i'll have some time to look around. plan on hitting up an R/C shop to try for a battery. (i heard they were generally cheaper at those places)? But wish me the luck. I know somewhat of the battery type i need. 9.6v crane type battery correct? 1500+ mAH ish.
(sorry for all the questions, just dont want to mess anything up for my first gun)

You will need to know the dimensions of the battery pack you are looking for. An R/C shop will have no idea what you are taking about if you ask for a crane stock battery. I Would do some searching on hobby king's website for your battery. They are very inexpensive there.
Also I believe Airsoft Atlanta sells airsoft elite BBs too. You could also see if the .23 or .25 BBs are in stock at these places too. I can't imagine even a stock gun not being able to hop that weight of BB. You should also check Evike. I don't recall who all sells these BBs. There's also Airsoft Extreme. I know at least two of these places sells them, I'm just too lazy to look it up right now, laugh.

Elite force bb's are pretty nice from my experience, you can get a good sized bottle for pretty cheap too.

Does anyone know about King Arms .2s? That's pretty much all my local airsoft store sells, but should I go online for other BBs?

I use king arms .25s in my mk18 mod1 and have had absolutely no problem, even with a 6.01 tbb. As for elite force, i use their .20s in my secondarys and have not had any problems problems.
