Um.. not really sure if this belongs here... but oh well. My names Will, I'm 16 I live in Ann Arbor, I have been interested in Airsoft for a while but never actually started. I am new to the sport and so this is the first step in joining it. I want to become a police officer when I grow up, and well, Airsoft is a safer version of guns, and the military. I um, barley use forums so I wont be the activist of all people Edit: When I was younger I would always wander threw woods off paths and take things without any one noticing, following people, being quit ETc, so I think those are some useful skills, in this sport.. Although I am only sixteen I know that in two years ill be able to actually play.

Agentwolf,
Welcome to Michigan Airsoft. Feel free to read all the stickies you can (As they usually have the most accurate information) and gear up and sign up to a game! Please let us know if you have any questions that cannot be answered by a sticky thread, or a simple google search.

You only have to be 18 for certain MILSIM events. I recommend going to no limits field; it was my first game and it was an excellent experience. But it definitely helps to have reliable transportation if you want to get into airsoft, in my opinion.

Everything comes with time, all of us had to start somewhere. As Snarf said find games that are relatively local, and be sure to find a few Rec games to get your feet wet and get to know the community, as well as letting them get to know you.

I had the same problem, so my friends mom drove us. I would also like to add that a gun and goggles are all you really need to get started. Don't go crazy on gear starting out.

Dang.. I need money.. A job for starters... Would you recommend a handgun for starts? or a rifle.., on a side note.. I'm thinking we both live in or around Ann Arbor.. Do you go to Skyline by chance?

Definitely start off with a rifle. You can get a good rifle that shoots just right for CQB but is also effective in the field as well.
.... G&G combat machine cough cough.
