I've been thinking about purchasing the APS UAR. To me it looks like a relatively high-end gun for a beginner gun price point. At $205, I was expecting it to be crappy, but I watched a video by EpicAirsoftHD, titled 'Top 5 Airsoft Guns in the World- Accuracy', and the UAR ranked number 1 in terms of accuracy, on semi-auto (I'll link the video so you can see all the guns). I also can't help but notice that it comes stock with a metal hop-up chamber, an included second spring for a higher fps, and a second mag. The only downsides I could find from most reviews was that the Fire-selector is awkward, and the stick-type battery compartment barely fits a 9.6. Mid-caps also generally don't work (but I was planning on using hi-caps anyways) Mainly, my two concerns are this: 1. Will I be able to run an 11.1 lipo in it without having to worry too much? Or should i opt for a 7.4 lipo instead? Also, I planned on using Lonex Flashmags in this gun, but I heard from a reviewer that they don't feed very well, but I would like to see if anyone knows this for sure. Also, would you buy the gun? I'm also really interested in if someone who owns/used it can tell me what the pros and cons are of the gun, and what they run in it. Thanks a ton. If you want to run an 11.1v lipo, I would wire it to deans, and install a mosfet.

Well I personally have a Javelin AK47 (a rebranded APS) and its actually a pretty good gun. I think APS gets a lot of crap because most of their guns have a mechanical blowback system in them (first thing i removed). Since this gun does not have the blowback it should be fine, but I would recommend you stick with a high discharge 7.4, I don't trust APS stock gears with that much power.

To me, it's butt-ugly, but if you like it, jump on it. My problem would be the internals. "V3 Hybrid" doesn't sound like fun to fix. All the parts will be proprietary, and difficult, if not impossible, to find replacements for. Other than that, if the internals hold to what these guys are saying, it looks like a solid China gun. I've never heard of this gun, so I'd be surprised if anyone around here had any experience with it. However, I could be wrong.

I've tried one out and I was pretty impressed... Mine should be here in the morning and I'm stoked. I have heard quite a bit of crap about the reliability after a few good days on the field. But I've read other forums extensively and I plan to build a bullet proof cqb dmr out of it. This gun reminds me of the halo battle rifle so I will also be installing a fancypants fet so I can get 3 round busrt for s' and g's. I've been worked up for two weeks now waiting for it to get here. I'll let yall know what I think when I get mine.

onegoodshot,
Glad to hear you've got a new replica coming.
Please check the dates on threads before posting. This one hasn't had any comments since June. Now if you had already received your replica and had some first hand information to add, that would be fine, but you have actually received it yet.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread. But I have gotten it and I have to say I'm impressed. Very impressed. My grouping at 120 feet was roughly 9 inches with the included upgrade spring and .28 bbs. The trigger pull is very long and the hop up doesn't really work well but those are my only complaints. If you have pmags (mine are kwa) a strip of the soft side of Velcro in the back of the magwell gets my midcaps feeding flawlessly. If you want full size rifle accuracy and range in a gun that you can field in some tight spaces this is a great choice. I have a 9.6 nimh battery stuffed in there and that runs it great for now. Id suggest this gun to the designated marksman who feels a bit cramped in a cqb field. M14s and FALs are just too long for tight spaces IMO.
