Yes, and homemade means anything not purchased. So if you didn't get it from a store, you can't use it. Two questions: #1) Why can't homemade ones be used? I mean as long as it is made of a durable cloth I don't see the problem. #2) could a barrel plug be used instead?

A plug can only be used if it was a purchased item and can withstand a full auto burst with out coming out.

How is keeping the safe zone safe harsh? I guarantee you not a single person wants to go home missing an eye or tooth.

It's a part of their insurance policy. It may seem harsh to you, but spending $3-5 dollars for the safety of yourself and others isn't unreasonable or harsh.
When playing progresses from your backyard, you have to take reasonable steps be safe and follow rules set forth by the fields.

I am only saying it is a little harsh because Someone who knows what they are doing could make one. Yeah safety comes first but still. It's a part of their insurance policy. I don't know if you do this already but I think it would be a good idea to sell barrel covers and or barrel plugs at Rec Games like this were lots of new players come as there are probably people who don't know where to buy them or simply forget to. Just my two cents

Just my two cents Will there be barrel bags for sale? If not, what counts as a "working" homemade one? Yes, and homemade means anything not purchased. So if you didn't get it from a store, you can't use it.

Every time I do I just want to bang my head on my keyboard. -_- Anyway I will hopefully be attending the rec games with +1

I'm tired of seeing: Duct Tape Sock Glove Bandanna Shemagh And other various "Home made" Failures. This is the end of the story as Pagan had said. It's a very simple request and people *WILL* Be asked to leave for repeated violations. Safety in the *SAFE* Zone is paramount.

Actually I was referring taking durable cloth, cutting it to twice the size of the tip of the barrel fold it over the barrel to make sure it would fit, then sew the sides together with a sewing machine. if done right it could be held on by a rubber band though before taking it anywhere it would have to of course be tested for strength. I never meant something like a sock. But Still I can see the other side I just wanted to explain a decent one could be in fact home made. Though it may end up costing more then simply buying one

If I remember correctly they're between 5-7 dollars. Much cheaper than spending the time and materials to make one.

Thanks for the info; I'll just buy one on the field. Hopefully I might actually be able to get a ride this time!

+1 Deacon Most if not all AEGs are perfectly capable of shooting through most household cloths, even at a distance. Try shooting at an old towel, my 350fps gun will go right through it if it is stretched over the barrel. This is an example of a safe barrel plug. www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3000Most of the barrel plugs I have seen are the cheap plastic ones that sometimes come with the gun. A lot of those just kind of slide over the barrel and fall off if you even tilt the gun. The field has bags for sale and for rent. $3-5 isn't a huge purchase to be safe at an event that has strict insurance policies. It would be a huge shame for us to lose a field over somebody not wanting to cough up $5 to do things right. Heck, it really isn't even worth somebody's time to make one when they can be bought so cheap.
