Phantom, You're going to want to cut it with the attitude. You're already starting to turn off a lot of people in this community and blasting a bunch of respected members with shit like "learn to read" is going to ostracize you quickly. Im just getting really annoyed by the whole, its from wallmart its garbage thing. ok. Im really not trying to be mean and I apologize but its just getting on my nerve's. *Take's a deep breath followed by a handfull of cheez-its* There, much better

but none of you have stated using one, all I hear is, its from wallmart so its crap. This simple argument is not something I was expecting from this community. Didn't your parents Ever teach you to never judge a book by its cover? Or where that book is sold? I said I did. Well the plastic one according to you. You also quoted me in your response saying it was the plastic version. It's a decent gun, but not worth a $200+ price tag. Especially from Walmart. I've held and shot his and like I said it's an average gun. The stock performance of a G&G Combat Machine is better than the APS M4. The one for $100 you are talking about is the the hard plastic, with metal parts M4 Viper, which I have. The Full Metal M4 Diamondback is currently an online order only So if I shot the $100 plastic external version, how is the cheap pot metal external receiver going to be different or better? I will always chose plastic over metal when comparing pot metal to high quality ABS plastic. Ok here I'm making an assumption but my experience leads me to making this assumption. I would be happy to be proven wrong however. YES, we KNOW that Black Ops is a new company. They are a new company that REBRANDS other Chinese manufacturers of lesser quality. They don't manufacture their own airsoft guns. Have I held or fired the metal version. No I haven't. Only the plastic one which I already stated. And like I said I was surprised that it's a decent performing gun for the price. But did you make your point that NOT EVERYTHING that Walmart sells is crap? I think you did. Hey Walmart now sells a rebranded Hakkotsu airsoft mortar for cheaper than any other retailer I've seen selling these for. www.walmart.com/ip/Black-Ops-Air-Soft-Mortar-Hammer/22018430?findingMethod=rrSo there's even more proof to support what you're saying.

It's not bad because it's from Walmart, Walmart stocks bad airsoft products because it's cheaper for them. It's a business model that lends itself to selling subpar products, especially in a specialty hobby. You pay too much for what you get, and get too little for what you pay. I know you don't like to hear that because you just bought two guns from them and it sucks to hear that they're lousy. Move on and don't make the same mistake again instead of justifying it and doubling down.

The Viper's stock is a little uncomfortable and could use some padding. It's not bad because it's from Walmart, Walmart stocks bad airsoft products because it's cheaper for them. It's a business model that lends itself to selling subpar products, especially in a specialty hobby. You pay too much for what you get, and get too little for what you pay. I must agree, after Seeing this post: It's this with a different stock: www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-APS-M4-109.htmSkip Walmart and save yourself from money. Most of what they sell is flat out bad, and what isn't flat out bad is overpriced and still mediocre. Which I somehow missed, while the better stock is nice, its hardly worth the extra $50. However, in your opinion is the price for that M4 on airsplat still overpriced? cause i think it might be. Then again I don't seem to know as much as i would like in this field

You're arguing with people who have owned or fielded just about every airsoft replica available. I know it's your first airsoft gun and it's your baby, but that doesn't mean we are trying to be elitist jerks who are trying to put you down. You are being offered quality options for the same price if not less. If all you're going to do is tell us we're wrong and don't know what we are talking about, do us and yourself a favor and stop asking us about anything. If you are so hellbent on proving us wrong, why should we even bother to try and help? We trying to help you from making the same mistakes we and a lot of other new players have made.

Yes it is my baby. But then also I think I am sorta mad at myself, not you guys. Because I am stuck with the Viper until I can get something else, which could be awhile. I mean the 1911 Scorpion I traded for a full metal single shot bb pistol, so I mean that was an obvious win. But If the M4 should turn out to be crap then I am going to feel stupid as shit for buying it. and plus I will have to get a new primary ASAP. Im guess I'm hoping its not crap. I will know soon, and I do intend to make a completely un biasd Review should the gun turn out to bee good or bad. Either way I'll probably just get another M4. I think before I buy my next gun I would like to try out different models, to see what I like and dislike So I can have an Arsenal of guns I will want to use. BTW I have seen pics of a lot of peoples guns on here, and a lot of you have some real beautiful and badass looking weapons. I am all done Ranting about Ignite Airsoft until I field test my guns. and If they are bad, ohh trust me you will hear about it

Make do with what you have and use it as a learning experience.
We are telling you to look elsewhere for your next replica to try and save you this kind of grief.
If it works out, great! If you plan to continue with this hobby, you'll find that the recommendations from seasoned players will help a lot. We've made the mistakes, let us help you avoid them.
No one here has said you bought the worst replica ever to be created, what we've said is there are other options that will serve you better in the future.

Indeed, for now I will work with what I got, I still plan to mod her too, not too much but to make it look good. See you Wednesday Peagan

In my opinion, Javelin/APS guns aren't really worth owning. For the same price, you could get something much better, like a King Arms or an Ares. There's nothing special about them to make them better than guns that they cost more than or as good as guns in the same price range.

I think the main point is that you are right phantom, they MAY be decent guns. They are rebrands with some modifications, and that MAY make them better. HOWEVER, you are new to the sport. You need something that you know will last you a decent amount of time and is a low risk buy. BEST case scenario, you are right. The diamond back is as good a a G&G Combat Machine, but with a metal body. Worst case scenario is the gun is a complete fail and you wasted 200+ dollars.
My point is this: Leave the risky purchases to the experienced players who not only have money that can be risked, but also have gear and guns that they can fall back on if it turns out not to work. Rule of thumb: If you don't have a whole lot of gear/money, don't buy a gun for at least 6 months after it comes out, regardless of the hype. Wait for the long term guys to try it and give their educated opinion on it. I know you want to stand by your company that has worked so far, but trust those who have come before you. These guys know what they're talking about.

But I do look forward to getting the Diamondback later on to test it out. I am currently looking into a Umarex H&K G36K, though they are all sold out everywhere I look

If I were you Phantom, I would hold off on buying things to "beef up" your current weapon. Just set that money aside and have it go towards your new primary.

Whatever additional money you put into that gun you're not going to get back if you try to re-sell it down the road. You're better off saving that money towards a better purchase down the road. Just use what you have now and after you've played with it for a while and have gotten your money's worth then upgrade to a new gun.

Umarex is another rebranding company that specializes in licensing HK trademarked items. Their 416, for instance, is made by VFC. Find out who makes their G36k, then research that. It very well could be a mediocre or low end company, as the attached name "Umarex" doesn't tell you anything directly.
If you want to buy from a manufacturer and not a rebranding company, the better ones out there are G&G, Tokyo Marui, VFC, G&P, King Arms, Ares, Classic Army (not their sportlines, they're terrible), ICS (not their sportlines either), and KWA. I'm sure I'm missing one or two, but those are the big ones. Not every model from each of those companies is a winner, but by and large they're solid. G&G and TM are going to be the most reliable out of the bunch.
