First off let me state, I know, wall mart usually = crap guns. However I have faith in Ignite Black Ops. So far the two guns I have work great. Before I got the M4 Viper I was looking at the M4 diamondback. What annoys me is the lack of reviews or even discussion about it. It is full metal with a version 2 gearbox. A link for it's posting can be found below. It is currently only available online, which I think is a good sign, or it could be the $250 tag. I would guess with the .20g bb's it would have about the same FPS as the M4. I am curious to see what any of you think, and if anyone here has owned one, as I may get it down the line one day, perhaps after I have a gun that ya'll don't consider crap. The black ops m4's are rebranded APS/javalin guns. Internally they aren't bad with the exception of the hop-up. Externally they are very cheap and flimsy as far as the plastic version goes. If the metal body is the same as the APS metal body then I wouldn't consider it a waste of money, rather a good starter or project gun.

Interesting, Thats about all I've found about her. The Dimaondback has a nice look, and if you say its a good project gun then I think once I get a better Primary, or am completely sure my M4 Viper wont crap out on me I'll order one. Thanks for the info

Do not buy a gun from walmart. For $250 there are so many better m4's you can buy. Check out legit retailers like airsoftgi.com or evike.com. Luckily you've found the right place! There is a wealth of knowledge on here to help guide you in making an informed purchase.

No no no no, You Realize My Primary, the M4 Viper is is from Wallmart, and my 1911 is too. just because something is from wallmart no longer means its crap. Black Ops is a new company

No no no, you bought a $200 clone from walmart for $250. Black ops is,not a "new company", it's a video game title that was used to sell lower end airsoft replicas.
Edited price because apparently Airsplat sells them.. Thanks for the info Knief.
Either way, walmart sucks.

It's this with a different stock: www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-APS-M4-109.htmSkip Walmart and save yourself from money. Most of what they sell is flat out bad, and what isn't flat out bad is overpriced and still mediocre.

You might think your guns from Walmart are good, but your opinion is largely biased because they have never been fielded in a game. Walmart is not an airsoft retailer and the guns you would find there are best used in backyard plinking, not regular airsoft games.
You're already showing to be stubborn and not listen to the advice given to you by experienced players. I cannot stress enough that when we say guns from Walmart are not good, they're not. Many have said to get a G&G Combat Machine because it is the best performing, inexpensive, starter gun on the market. Get one and never look back.

Whether you go to your 3.14 practice, or if you go to the game at No Limits (where there will be over a hundred guys, many with more than one gun), you will see for yourself what everyone is talking about. The things you should pay attention to, with your gun compared to others, are the following: 1) Range 2) Effective Range, this means how far out you can shoot and hit a man sized target consistently. 3) Rate of Fire / Trigger Response, grouped together since they mostly go hand in hand. 4) Overall feel of the rifle, very subjective but it's fairly easy to feel quality when you are paying attention. Check for rattles and loose fitting components.

Yup, you overpaid for that Black Ops M4. I've seen them retail online for as low as $100. A friend of mine who I just got into airsoft bought one for $100 for his younger brother.
It's a decent gun, but not worth a $200+ price tag. Especially from Walmart. I've held and shot his and like I said it's an average gun. The stock performance of a G&G Combat Machine is better than the APS M4.

Edited price because apparently Airsplat sells them.. Thanks for the info Knief. Either way, walmart sucks. Yes, walmart Sucks. However Ignite Black Ops Airsoft is a new company. It is owned by Bear River International, and Just like the Black Ops Website, has nothing to do with the dumb COD game. Do some research, there is already a mile long thread about Black Ops airsoft on Airsoft Society. Do some research before you say something that's wrong. Also I didnt Buy the Diamondback, I bought the Viper. The Game: The New Airsoft Company: had to shrink their logo, was too big They Share a Name but that doesn't connect them anymore then either of them are connected to: The Store/website Called Black Ops airsoft Whether you go to your 3.14 practice, or if you go to the game at No Limits (where there will be over a hundred guys, many with more than one gun), you will see for yourself what everyone is talking about. This Is All True, and I intend to test all these factors, one thing I already dislike about My M4 Viper is it can only use a Single Point Sling. So I modified it to fix that. And I know My Opinion may seem a little bias, but like everyone else who is ripping on the gun because it's sold at wallmart isn't? I could understand if majority of you had tried and disliked the brand, but none of you have stated using one, all I hear is, its from wallmart so its crap. This simple argument is not something I was expecting from this community. Didn't your parents Ever teach you to never judge a book by its cover? Or where that book is sold? Yup, you overpaid for that Black Ops M4. I've seen them retail online for as low as $100. A friend of mine who I just got into airsoft bought one for $100 for his younger brother. It's a decent gun, but not worth a $200+ price tag. Especially from Walmart. I've held and shot his and like I said it's an average gun. The stock performance of a G&G Combat Machine is better than the APS M4. The one for $100 you are talking about is the the hard plastic, with metal parts M4 Viper, which I have. The Full Metal M4 Diamondback is currently an online order only My point is this, just because Wallmart is crap does not mean Ignite Black Ops Airsoft is. It also doesn't mean it's not, I will be keeping a field Journal for both my M4 Viper and 1911 Scopion so I can keep track of pro's, con's and any problems I run into, Including People telling you to take a gun that has already been stated was too LATE to take back, to take it back. Also Snafu, too things, 1 I stated I was looking into buying the Diamondback down the rpad, not that I own it, so learn to read. Also Airsplat does not sell the same guns, they sell something similar, I have seen those. Bear river International's Black Ops subsidiary section: www.bearriver.net/blackops.htmlPage 1 of one of Several Threads I read about Black Ops Airsoft: www.airsoftsociety.com/forums/f38/black-ops-ignite-airsoft-57924/P.S. Once I have popped the cherry on my guns I will be writing up reviews on the ones I have, what's good and whats bad. ALSO Let me be clear, I am not just going to buy black ops guns. Infact the next gun I will be looking for will be and Umarex H&K G36K to turn into Reaper's AR from DOOM. but that won't be for awhile either

Phantom,
You're going to want to cut it with the attitude. You're already starting to turn off a lot of people in this community and blasting a bunch of respected members with shit like "learn to read" is going to ostracize you quickly.
