I was wondering how many people actually use modern Russian load outs in Michigan? Is it as popular as us military load outs? Thank you. Moderators if there is anything wrong with this post please pm me thanks.

I currently run a Russian flora camo loadout and I'm trying to update to it's digital variant. It is not popular to do a Russian loadout in Michigan due to the limited amount of milsims that will allow it. Most milsims only want both teams to wear American camos. Price is another limiting issue, when you buy foreign camos and equipment, they're generally not commercially made. I'd love to see greater acceptance of foreign camo around here.

Airsoft in America is all about being the most DEVGRU. Russian loadouts? Less than 1%, I expect. And I keep track, because we always need more guys to come out and do this...

Airsoft in Michigan and most of the US is about being the most leet seal operator ever. Russian loadouts, they just don't do that for most americans.
Price is normally the deciding factor for the Russian loadouts. There is just so much replica gear for american loadouts, then trying to find a nice replica for a reasonable price of something Russian, it's like looking for contact lenses when you're blind without them, you won't find them.
It would be nice if there was more replica or more readily available Russian gear. I was about to, and still once I get some more money and finish the loadouts that I started working on.

There's also not a whole lot of games that feature Russian or Soviet troops. Milsim games in Michigan aren't very strict about gear requirements, camo, etc so there really isn't any incentive to purchase Russian or Soviet kit to use unless that's something you're interested in yourself.
There's probably many more people interested in WWII era airsoft loadouts, events, etc but you very rarely see WWII themed events. I had a very nice 82nd Airborne loadout a few years ago, but I got tired of skirmishing in it against SEALs, Delta, USMC, etc loadouts.
It seems pretty clear to me that modern loadouts are more comfortable and thus more skirmishable than older loadouts. I like ALICE gear and the old M1926 gear from WWII isn't so bad, but it's nowhere near as comfortable or flexible as my modern kit. It's niche gear and as a result very few people are also going to fall into that niche.
Impulse,
I take it you got out to Eastwind this year?
