Since when were realistic guns banned in the UK? I thought there was a semi auto only rule and maybe an energy limit, but I haven't heard of a realism criteria. I know Canada has something to that effect, which requires a certain percentage to be clear.

Well I wasn't being specific or bothering to fact check any specific details since I was merely joking and recalling something I had read.
Specifically though, what I was attempting to recall is the Netherlands where "[airsoft guns] look so realistic that they can be used for intimidation and police might react with too much force when they encounter an airsoft firearm (use force like it is a real gun). Therefore, airsoft firearms that are 1:1 replicas and/or realistic have been placed in Category I (illegal without any possibility of acquiring a permit)."
"Dutch airsoft association called NABV (Nederlandse Airsoft Belangen Vereniging/Dutch Airsoft Interests Association) has managed to get a confirmation from the Dutch Ministry of Justice that the STAR Ika Zuchi AEG is not considered a replica that can be used for intimidation, making it one of the first airsoft guns which can legally sold and owned in the Netherlands" ~Wikipedia

lololol.. I must've missed this thread. I sold that G36 AND that M14. I can tell by the CQT writing on them both. Except when I sold them, they were completely stock. That M14 use to be green. /coolstorybro.

I found both of these on r/airsoft. I submit to you: The Suppressed P90 DMRAccording to the original poster, "You can't see it the picture, but there's a penny lodged in-between the rail and front assembly to keep it from wiggling. There's also a folded piece of cardboard on the charging handle to keep the front assembly from wiggling." Here's another monstrosity, and this one actually hurts my soul a little bit : The Suppressed(?), Classic Army M14 EBR w/ M203According to this poster, "Alright people, I'm not sure when airsoft went from having fun to "thats not realistic". It's airsoft." I'm usually all for function/fun over form, but this is too far. I don't even know what that thing on the front of the gun is...

Cut the suppressor down a couple inches, and improve the fit and finish of it all, and that P90 wouldn't be all that bad. The M14 on the other hand, is a sin against good taste.

The P90 looks gross! The EBR would look great if it wasn't for that ugly m203.

That P90... I don't know if I hate it with all my being, or think it's just misunderstood. I MIGHT be able to look cool with some work, but I would think not.

As an EBR user I can't imagine how front heavy that thing is with the 203. Not to mention how awkward it must be to fire that far forward.

Its a tactical M203 monopod; provides excellent stability and a way to cover your ass while your running away because everyone thinks your DMR looks weird.

Haha. He'd need more than that, considering he'd probably be shot at by friend and foe.

P90s with M4 magazine conversions are crimes against all mankind and must be destroyed with gratuitous force.

I think at this point it would simply be called mercy killing... And that p90, I agree -- with a LOT of work that could look awesome.
