i have always wondered who made the best GBBs besides WA....and what gas type do the KJW guns use?

green. KJW mags are the best. they dont leak at all, and give a reassuring hollow hiss sound of the gas going in the mag.. All the other brands have a hiss sound which is the gas coming out back at you

Alright, the statement quoted from UN is a typo, KJW's typically shoot between 285-325 or so. They provide skirmish capable performance.
Their USP mags are some of the worst around though (bong, pay attention). The USP mags have a very long history of acquiring leaks, much more so than most companies. Tanaka has a worse track record, but the KJW USP is right up there. You can go to any larger forum (ASP, ASZ, ASR, etc.) and search for KJW's. The two biggest problems you'll see are leaky mags and broken triggers.
On the plus side, since both problems are so frequent, there are countless posts that describe, in detail, the possible fixes. It takes as much time to find the cited fixes as it does to find the cited problems.
Bong, the difference in sound means very little in terms of filling a gas reservoir. The sound results from the pressurized gas (in esscence, a liquid, not a gas) slipping into an opening. Different mags have a different size opening, both in depth and in diameter. The gas goes in at a different rate, and you get a different sound. A hiss doesn't mean that the gas is coming back out at you. From my personal experience of filling mags, my KSC glock hisses, and never spills a drop until the mag is full. The WA cougar i borrwed hissed as well, again, never spilling a drop until it was full.
Back to Mike...
KSC and TM, in general, are comperable, TM typically offers slight better performance, where as KSC offers a high asthetic quality. This is not to say that KSC guns shoot like shit, or that TM guns look like shit. Neither is deficient in either area, however each seems to pay a little extra attention to their respective fields. Now, of course everything in this last paragraph is a general statment on the typical quality of each company, but does not necessarily relate to all of the guns by each company. Both have had their lemons, and you'll have to research that depending on which gun you decide to get.
As for KJW, they offer low budget quality. They're not up to par with KSC in terms of asthetic refinement, nor are they up to par with TM in terms of performance. However for the price, they're a steal. Their quality is worth more than their typically low price tag. They offer good performance with a decent fit and finish. The USP line has some problems across the board (mentioned in the first paragraph of this post), but as far as I know, there haven't been any consistent problems noted with either their glock or beretta series.
One area that you may find "complaints" about is the ease of attaching an aftermarket slide to a KJW. They are rarely just drop in fits. But the same can be said for PGC and Sheriff slides for WA 2011/1911's. You just have to take your time with filing them down and chek your work frequently and you'll acheieve a great fit. Personally, i'd rather hand fit a slide to a frame to acquire a perfect fit rather than have some loose tolerance, sloppy, factory drop in slide on $100+ pistol. the extra work is worth it in the long run for me.

hrm ill keep that in mind JDL.
but it seems that the hiss would correspond to the gas leaking?.. i guess not tho. it just SOUNDS like all the gas is going in to the KJW mag, and a LOT of gas is leaking out in the others.

Gotta give it up seeing as I am the owner (lucky) of a KJW Tactical USP w/ metal slide, brandnew surefire flashlight (cheap), and my clips haven't leaked that I know of.

I have had slight problems with the mags, i bet all you have to do is baby them, dont drop them, dont do anything to then that you would do to .... well u know ;D Thats how i treat my mag, and if it does leak i just stop loadin it, and shake it for a second, and that seems to fix the problems. and that hissing sound you hear most likely isnt wasting any gas, its just pressureising (excuse my spelling) the mag to the same as the can.
