So I'm building a new AEG. Thing is, I can put everything together and shim and all that fun stuff, just not really sure what type of stuff to buy. I know what I want the gun to do, and that is just to have a fast response rate to my trigger, and reset for the ability to have a fast follow up shot. I just want the damn thing to shoot fast in semi-auto.
Looking at gear sets and motor and everything, I'm assuming I want to get a set of high speed gears with a high torque motor, or am I assuming wrong? Is it going to matter if my barrel is R-Hopped, or? What's the difference in gear ratios mean when its saying 16:1 or 30:1? (Probably not real gear ratios but you know what I mean)
Is there any math to figure out how fast you're gun is going to shoot and determine what parts you need to buy to get your gun there? I need the gun to be under 350fps for the reasons that I want the weapon to be an CQC weapon, but the R-Hop should allow me to go play out in a field and have the reach on it too.
