Hello again, MIA community.
I made a thread similar to this a while back concerning crye multicam vs. repro multicam.
I now wanted to pose a similar question concerning the AOR series and ask whether or not anyone here has had any experience with the Emerson/ FFI sets.
My personal research has led me to believe that FFI has the closest match to the AOR colors, I just wanted to see if any of you agree with that conclusion.
I appreciate any help anyone can give, especially more critical reviews of these products since it seems every review I find is just some guy gushing on [insert forum name here] or youtube and not being nearly as objective as I would personally like.
While I normally do not go for replica gear, the current market for AOR sets has forced my hand as I just can't fork out $1,000+ for a set. I realize these sets will not match the Crye material 100% either in color or quality but such is life.
Thanks again, guys.

The Toy Solider stuff is supposed to be nice, but I haven't seen it first hand to tell you definitively. What I can say, however, is don't get the TMC AOR:

I was actually about to ask the same question, but put a bit more emphasis on what the big difference between Toy Soldier and TMC was. My team has been looking at switching to AOR repros, but we were't sure about which brand to get.
[edit] Also, what about Emerson?

I've found Emerson gear (haven't used their uniforms) to be a step up from TMC. It's not a great improvement, and it doesn't really hold a candle to Flyye or Pantac, but it's better than Condor.

Crye sets aren't quite 1k now, you can prob get one from sub 900 with a bit of patience That said, here is a comparison between real AOR1 combat pants and Allwin? combat pants. Crye on the left. Biggest difference that you will notice in any repros is the color of the stretch material. I'd focus on getting a pair that has the correct color as it is much harder to notice if the pattern is incorrect.

Hey thanks a lot guys. This helps. I wrote this post really late last night at work and thus forgot to mention I am aware of the TS repros and even though Kevin is good people, it's still a bit too rich for my blood.
I also did some digging around on DevTSix's forum last night and the consensus among them seems to be that the Allwin sets are the best option.
I never really considered TMC or Emerson as options just because of how orangeish their AOR1 can be. Now it seems that the FFI is a bit off too and that the factory pics are off.
So that settles it, Allwin.
Also, while we are on this subject. People seem impressed with Flyye's AOR1 quality. What are the feels around here?
TL;DR Allwin peaks my interest, how is Flyye's AOR1?

It's a bit pink: Get it dirty and fade it a bit with use and it should be fine.

Newer AOR1 stuff (Seems like early 2011 and on) is a bit pinker as well. Here's a photo I took for a customer showing the difference between dates on Eagle Ind gear. The top chest rig is 02/11 and the 40mm + bottom chest rig are 05/10 with the MBITR pouch being 04/10. The various shades of AOR1 have changed between batches. In Knief's photo that SAW or M60 pouch looks like it is used, so it is faded a bit. That canteen pouch is from the 07-08 era. I don't have any repro AOR1 stuff from Flyye or similar to compare it to, but changes in batches can account to some degree for any differences. Having a full set of Flyye will look just fine and work well on a budget.

Agreed. If you are looking at replicas of aor1 products by eagle or LBT your top choice is toysolider. Other than that look for stuff like ferro's APC (6004 replica that is discontinued) as well as some of his current stuff and stuff from US tactical sewing.

I don't think the ones I have were correct Navy custom. I distinctly remember the shirt had holes for the hard elbow pads. The Cryes in that photo are actually Army Custom, but the pattern ans such is exactly the same as the Navy Customs I've had.
