So I was going through videos in the Lion Claws Youtube channel and I ran across something that was brought up in a 2013 Shot Show video. The ICS 40mm TAG Grenade. Here is a video of it. It sounded like Jon would allow it at the games for vehicle kills. Does anyone have any info on the yellow round that they show in the video? I'm not really interested in the chalk or BB rounds, but the yellow round looked like it might be foam, which would be perfect.

Yeah, they said they had explosive rounds that shot BB's, which I'm not interested it, plus there is no way any other games in Michigan would allow it. Also the smoke grenades, I'm guessing that in general our community wouldn't favor them. Then they have the chalk round, as I mentioned in another thread if you mark up my gear with something, you had better hope I don't find you. Which in the end brings us back to the dummy training round. That is the only one I feel has any potential, but that is only if the front of it is made out of foam. So if anyone has any information on that, I would be highly interested. I'm thinking of adding an M203 to my M4 for NL4, if they are foam.

If the rifling they have on them doesn't require you to buy some sort of proprietary 40mil launcher that only ICS sells, these should be pretty neat if they live up to their claims.

I thought the smoke rounds were pretty cool. I think I would get a couple smoke rounds and demo them at an OP for the field owner and organizer. That way they can decide for themselves if they want to allow it to be used.

Ok, I emailed TagInn and I received a short email saying their product will be sold exclusively through Redwolf airsoft. So Ill see about getting a set of smoke grenades.

What a terrible marketing decision. When you say TAGinn, you mean the ICS ones, yes? Or the ruskie made ones from a a few months ago? (They have the same name oddly enough)

ICS ones are supposed to be sold by a place in the US when available. Foxairsoft.com Says so in a video on youtube with ICS and them.

I believe they are the exact same product, Or at least the same design. Maybe ICS is being used as the Distributor in the US? If you go to the TagInn website ( taginn.com/) they mention they have a shell designed to only be launched. It has no chalk or explosive ability and is for training. They have info on the other types of grenade launched projectiles as well. Also your gonna need Chrome and its auto translate for the website.

The dummy round looks cool, but honestly the only thing that makes these better than any of the already existing options is the rifling in my opinion. Other than the rifling these aren't really any different than the S thunder grenades. I highly doubt that the smoke grenade one will even be able to generate enough smoke to be at all useful.

The rifling is the most important part...I have nothing else to say. @dr.B- Hopefully ICS is going to be re-branding those russian ones and will be able to get them into the U.S. quicker. I just got the email below in, and it looks like ICS may be taking their sweet time on them. I emailed the TagInn guys again to see if they would ship to the U.S. Just got this in from Fox... (The U.S. distributor) J.D. The TAG grenades are looking to be a great design with the rifling. We are currently awaiting a release date and pricing - optimistic estimates put the grenade in the U.S. market towards the beginning of Summer. We are planning on taking a trip to Taiwan to get more information on the release this April - check back with us then and hopefully we'll have some updated information. Please let me know if there is anything else we can help with in the mean time. -- Thank You, Edit: ICS confirmed what you mentioned on their FB as well, Dr. B www.facebook.com/ICSairsoftgun (Few posts down)

Maybe use the chalk round for said anti armor? It would wash off of metal easily and have a visible hit mark.

The concern is that if you use it at all, someone'll end up missing and whacking a player's AOR1 JPC with it.

Plus I've got to imagine the the chalk round is more solid than the dummy round (again assuming it is foam), and would have a greater possibility of denting the vehicle/breaking a window.
