Question isn't why, but why not? Tigerstripe is a viable, if not often used, pattern. Is it the best? Probably not, but I'm sure there's still a market for it, I use Tigerstripe.

It just seems kind of niche to me. I, personally, think it's kind of cool, but a bit odd at the same time. As far as usability goes, I'm not entirely sure where this would be best used, since tiger stripe pattern was specifically developed for jungles and wooded areas.

I prefer this pattern to multicam actually - in grassy areas especially, although a vertical orientation would be a little more helpful. As for tiger stripe being made for jungles - well, sure, but so was the ERDL pattern which became M81 Woodland - and look at the variety of desert and urban patterns based on either of those. Shapes are shapes, they don't necessarily have to match the background to be at least reasonable in camouflage. (Another example, CADPAT TW, an excellent temperate pattern - just a bit of color swap to get Desert MARPAT, largely regarded one of the best desert patterns)
It's surely a niche market, but why not? It's as operatortacticool as multicam while also being different - because some tac teams (and backyard shooters, and airsofters) just wanna be different.

I'd go for this over MC if I knew that it would be allowed at the majority of Milsim games. That's the only real problem I can see arising from this.

Why wouldn't this be allowed at MilSim games? I bet that any event host would put this in the "Multicam" category. It's close enough, and actually looks pretty good in my opinion.

I think we might want to get some regular event hosts in here to make some commentary on this. I agree that this should be allowed in on the Multicam ticket.

I dont see a problem with it being close to mulitcam and being allowed. However that is the lightest shade of tiger stripe I ever seen. I am used to the Viet Nam era of Tiger Stripe which leaned more toward darker shades green and black. We wore it back in my paintball days, and would be on the green team.

Looks like a more grassy version of MTP, which is already pretty much considered to be Multicam.

I own these. They are similar to multicam in the color aspect, but this also referred to as SAS foliage green. It's a British camo currently in use by special forces. Every time I go to a game with it on I get a shitload of compliments, and I feel so special. I have nothing else to say.

Actually, probably doesn't matter, I'm sure lots of players don't know the difference. I've seen both for sale at Joe's, so it's definitely readily available.
