I've got the KWA, Glock M19 magazine completely disassembled. The base of the magazine, where the fill valve goes, has a brass tube that was separated from the base. It appears to be a "press" fit. Am I correct? And will just pushing it back into the base hold it sufficiently to prevent it coming out again? What purpose does it serve? I also put silicone around the base rubber "O" ring in hope that it will swell. Thanks, dek

Been there.
That brass tube is part of the NS2 system. It helps control the liquid propane inside your mag. It was originally press fit, but once that rubber base dries up a bit it tends to become loose. KWA says to use blue loc-tite to secure it. Clean the area with alcohol or dish soap and warm water to remove the silicone. Then put a bit of loc-tite on the tube, press it in place, and let it dry. Then reassemble the mag. I had a G19 in the past with the same rattling. I press fit the tube in place and it became loose again within several shots.
If your mag base seal (that square O-ring) was leaking I would recommend using one loop of teflon tape around it before you put the mag back together. I recently worked on a KWA M9 and that base seal was leaking. I left it in silicone for 24 hours and it still leaked. I put one loop of teflon tape around it and it plugged right up. I don't normally recommend using teflon tape for anything but threads but it worked great.
