Hello there
I plan on purchasing a new AEG within the next month or so and I'm not sure what to get. I need something that accepts STANAG magazines (M4/M16) so I don't have to replace the ones I have currently.
I have a KWA M16BR right now and it's just not doing it for me anymore. My budget is around $400. Right now I am debating between the G&G FN2000, or the KWA SR10.
Any suggestions for other AEG's?

What is it that you find unsatisfactory about your current AEG that you'd like your new AEG to do better?

Nothing really other than its length. I've had it for so long that I just want something new.

Well you can always just get a shorter barrel, but if you are looking to spend around $400 a VFC 416 is a great choice. I love mine and VFCs are rock sold externally.

Perhaps consider a Bullpup design if you're concerned about length. The new Tavors are nice.

Perhaps consider a Bullpup design if you're concerned about length. The new Tavors are nice. The old Tavors were nice, just not the REALLY old ones with the integrated MARS sights. I would take one over an F-2000 any day. I suppose in reality, I would take most guns over one, because I hate them. I agree with ctres on the 416, that would be a good choice. It's solid and modular, the Tavor and F-2000 are at best only one of those things.

VFC's are pretty rock solid period. I can attest to the sr-10 though. Two guys I run with have them and I have nothing but good things to say. I have an sr-12 and I like that too. At the end of the say if the fun doesn't fit you, you won't like it.

Did they fix that issue with the G&G F2000s not accepting anything but their hicaps? I have an ARES TAVOR now and it's pretty consistent and accurate at range, which is important to me, and it handles very well due to being back-heavy and in your shoulder all the time. The annoying thing about most bullpups is the mag release may get you in trouble from time to time and it can be awkward to reload if you're not used to it. The best bullpup in my opinion (for Airsoft) is an L85A2 because it has a more solid mag release and a modern L85 looks great and is rare to see: images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100417211809/guns/images/f/fd/L85a2_ris_acog.jpgIf you're interested I've still got the Tavor and would be willing to part with it.
