Hey guys, I'm getting back into the game, and was wondering about the Javelin Airsoft Ak47. I have read around and it seems like the guy itself is a rebrand, but how is it? The gun is reasonably priced, but i need to know the quality of it.
If anybody knows anything about Javelin guns let me know. Thanks!

I personally would recommend a DBOYS AK over the Javelin. Upon doing a little bit of research, it appears that Javelin rebrands APS AEGs, which I personally have no knowledge on. Although, I have handled a couple DBOYS AKs, and they're nice. I know that Dahm specifically had a gem of a DBOYS AK74u, and one of my local buddies has a extremely solid steel DBOYS AK-74, with full trades as well.
If you do decide to get the Javelin, I would recommend picking up an APS instead, because they're the same gun, but appear to be slightly cheaper on most retailer sites.

I ending up getting the Javelin Ak47 because of the 60 warrenty on it. Got it with 3 extra mags, so I will be making a review of it as soon as I get it and test it out.
I think i should get it reshimmed, lubed, and put a smaller spring in. Any stores where I could get this done at?

Since the reason you purchased the gun was the 60 day warranty, I'd wait until that 60 day period has elapsed before opening the gearbox. The minute you open the gearbox your warranty (which probably isn't worth much anyway) will be void.

Gimp is right. Definitely wait until the warranty is up before cracking it open, unless it's so horribly shimmed that you believe it's going eat up your gears, piston, etc. In that case, I would make a warranty claim instead of trying to re shim it yourself. Also, I would highly recommend learning how to properly shim your own gearbox instead of paying someone else to do it. It's fairly easy to do, and it's good knowledge you'll carry on through your entire airsoft "career". Here's a pretty good guide on how to properly shim a gearbox yourself. pageproducer.arczip.com/daedalus03/shim.html
