Hey all,
I am wondering if any of you could recommend some reading material about the sport, the weapons, technical schematics, etc., for someone who is looking to not only play like a boss, but get into the industry on a venue/service/retail scope?
There is a series of books on Amazon by Airsoftpress...anyone used them?
Any and all advice welcome.
Thanks, AV

^Make that airsoftmechanics forum. Mechbox.com is pretty good as far as take downs and whatnot, and their basic info is good, but most of the videos are like 5 years old and a ton of things have changed since them. You may find that a lot of the builds people do on airsoft mechanics are complete overkill, but the fact is, if something lasts at 550fps or 60rps it will pretty much hold up forever under normal conditions. One thing with internals that you should always remember is that it is often the free/DIY mods that make all of the difference in durability and performance. Look up shimming, AoE correction, sorbo, etc. I'd recommend searching on ASM first and only asking there when you have a very specific question since they don't take very kindly to spoon feeding, but I can already tell by your posts that you probably won't have an issue with that.
For externals just go to youtube and look up a breakdown/ dis assembly of any gun you want to see and you will likely find it.
As always, just hang around on various forums and you will pick up a ton.

Yep, airsoftmechanix is the place to go for sure, but I seriously doubt that an MIA member wouldn't be able to answer any questions you might have. Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using proboards
