So I just purchased my first airsoft gun. It is a KWA (though it says KSC in the title) G-19 and I ordered from Airsplat.
One of my primary real steel carry weapons is a G-19 so it seemed like a practical purchase that would translate well into my training.
I checked out the forum for comments and reviews...this seemed to be GTG for a GBB pistol that is similar in weight to its real counterpart.
I will let you know what the lead time ends up being and my initial impressions when it arrives...even though that has probably been done a ton all ready.

I hope you didn't order one that was listed as out of stock. If that is the case you may want to contact airsplat as you may not end up ever getting it. Within the last couple years Glock has cracked down on sale of replicas in the US and to my knowledge there are currently no manufacturers producing Glock replicas for the US market. They can be bought from Hong Kong retailers and imported but not sold in the US. KSC/KWA is a solid choice, so hopefully you end up getting yours, maybe airsplat still has ones that are left over from before Glock clamped down.

Thanks for the tip. I did make sure it said in stock, so hopefully they are a solid business, and not one of those who update inventories monthly!
I sort of knew about the Glock Replica issues, so I jumped on it when I saw it was available...fingers crossed.

Airsplat is hit or miss. They were shady as all get out for a long time and have spent a couple years improving their image, albeit marginally. I'd shoot them an email just to make sure. If it is out of stock, check out the major Hong Kong retailers, they all carry the KSC glock line (same design as the KWA, better production consistency and QC, thus a more reliable gun). I'd start with www.wgcshop.com and www.uncompany.com.

I would definitely contact them as Knief said and use one of the websites he suggested if they are out of stock.
Both KSC and KWA are great. If it is a KSC it should have a plastic slide and all the accurate logos/markings, you will most likely have to run it on duster air as green gas/propane will have a higher chance over time of breaking the slide due to being a more powerful propellant. If it is KWA it will have a metal slide and some/most of the markings, but you will be able to run green gas/propane through it safely.

Thanks for the info guys. It said it was metal, so it must be KWA. I will email them to make sure.
In reading through a ton of the newbie stuff...much of it is more than a few years old...remarkable info though. Is going over-seas for guns still commonplace with all the offerings stateside? Probably rhetorical...but if someone feels like throwing out a reply, kudos.

Yes, there are still a lot of items that can't be found stateside, or the hassle of trying to find them isn't really worth it. There are many HK sites that offer great products and reasonable shipping, so it's almost as easy to get things from overseas as it is in the US.

Thanks for the answer pagan...I have a UPS tracking number from Airsplat for the pistol, which should be active in the AM. Looks like I got lucky!
