I know it's bad to shoot my KWA mp7 upside down, but what exactly happens inside the gun?

Spring pushes BB into chamber... why would it be bad? Hopup will spin it down, but why would it be 'bad'?
My bad... didnt realize this was the GAS area.

It's because propane/green gas is a liquid at the bottom of its container, and if tipped upside down it would poor into the sears. I don't know much more about the subject, just that the liquid propane is bad for the sears.

You end up freezing things. When you freeze rubber gaskets/o-rings/hopups and other things move through that rubber part, you end up tearing it up. I suspect that is the real reason they don't want you doing that.
That was the case with paintball guns and the liquid CO2. That is why small tubes were put in the CO2 tanks, this would bee in the upward direction, when the gun was right side up. This made sure that non liquid was fed. Then there were the remote line systems, just like what is used in P*, only with CO2 tanks instead of HPA. One of the reasons everything moved to HPA was not having to worry about that liquid, amongst many other things.

Ever take an air-duster can and hold it upside down and then squirt? It shoots out a substance that is like liquid nitrogen. Like Tank said, it will freeze your sears and o-rings and can damage them.

Ever take an air-duster can and hold it upside down and then squirt? I must try this. Do all gas guns have these same problems when firing upside-down, or just the KWA MP7?

Most gas systems are similar when it comes to the magazine. It is best to not shoot upside down in any circumstance (my opinion).

The only brand I know that doesn't do this is WA. They use a system that allows you to fire from any angle. Every other GBB dumps the liquid gas rather than venting the gaseous gas as it should. That's because gravity.

Apparently the KWA LM4 doesn't have that problem.

I might have to try this when I get home with maybe a few rounds to see what happens.
