If I am not mistaken the pack I linked would fit in his buffer tube, and is nearly the same battery you linked earlyer Edit: This particular website carries Gens Ace's whole line of airsoft specific batteries www.hobbypartz.com/geacebaforai.html

The one you linked before your edit wouldn't fit. Thats what Knief and I were commenting on.

The pack you linked to is far too wide to fit his buffer tube and is nothing like the pack I linked to. It was a 5000 mAh 7.4v rather than a 1100 mAh 11.1v and it was far more brick shaped.
[edit]Yes, the one you edited in after I linked to it is essentially the same pack. Classy move.

Oh yes my first post, but if you take a look both batteries that I linked from both sites in that post wouldn't fit, I was just trying to explain that some shopping around will bear "better" batteries for less.
Edit: Also I linked that pack before you posted it, I just edited my post again to attempt to fix the space between the I and S in this. I'm not trying to argure with you but I think I came off as a smart ass to you being that you were under the impression I seen your link and just added it to mine. I also would like to explain that when I said the batteries were the same, I was talking about the Original one you posted from the airsoft site vs the one we both linked from the RC site. To Pagan, the one I linked in my first post not my other post with the edit wouldn't fit (which I knew would clearly not fit, I just showed a case in how a battery from a hobby retailer was half the price of a lower quality battery from the airsoft retailer)

So.. in a nut shell, find an 11.1v with the highest mAh's that will fit in the holes in my stock, correct?

Pretty much. It'll be 1100 or 1200 mAh. You don't have a lot of space to work with.

And then typically how many times do you guys find you swap batteries during a game/day? Is there AC for charging at events? I.E. If I want to go play for a day event, how many packs should I be thinking about getting?

I haven't used more than one battery in a long time. It's never a bad idea to have a second on hand. The guys with the SAWs are going to go through more, and the colder it gets, the shorter your battery will last. Indoor facilities usually have somewhere you can plug a charger in to, but few outdoor facilities are set up for it. Buy at least two batteries, but wait until you play before you buy anymore. If you find yourself killing two packs in a day, buy a third or lay off the trigger a bit.

A lot of the events around here offer electricity, but some may not. As for how many batteries you need and how often you need to swap batteries, I'd say buy 2-3 packs and charge em up before you go out and you should be good through the day. At events where you can charge at the dead battery would problebly be charged before the next died.

The charger could always attach to car battery... and yes from RC I know how cold effects things.
Thanks guys. I guess my options are pretty slim, but more than sufficient.

Yeah, if you have a DC charger, you're set.
A lot of guns only have a couple of battery options. It's just one of those things that we deal with. If you want a particular gun, you're limited to whatever battery it'll fit. Fortunately, Lipos just recently became viable for us, and that's created a lot of options.
