I managed to fit a single 74 style mag into a typical double AR pouch today, and it works alright as long as the bottom plate doesn't end up catching on something. I'd still recommended a dedicated magazine pouch, or EVEN BETTER, a Blue Force Gear helium whisper pouch. You can hold pretty much anything in one of those.

You actually brought a relevant question to my mind. What kind of AK mags do you use Lurk? AK74 mags can work in M4 pouches, albeit not perfectly, but AK47 mags are a pain in the butt. AK47: AK74:

I'm not sure as I don't actually have the gun yet. I was asking for when I actually get it. But I might just end up trying to trade it for an m4

Personally, I like the 74 mags more. Like Dallas said, they're easier to fit in pouches, and they also work in a 47 model if need be.
