Got my DE M89 a while ago, and I was wondering if someone could completely confirm whether or not the G&G UMG suppressor/barrel extension fits on the DE M89 and if there is anywhere you can get them for under $50...
Found some CA UMC midcaps that apparently work on the DE M89 so should be buying some of those soon.
Thanks for reading/replying.

Looked at that link you gave me, though it would be in my price range I think I would probably rather just wait to find a used G&G one or something that did look better. Cosmetics aren't a deal breaker, but that seemed a little bit worse than I would prefer. I've been looking on craigslist, but the first DE M89 I saw (which showed up after a week or two of looking) sold in under 3 hours so its going to be hard for me to get one. Thanks for the link and feedback nonetheless.

If you like the UMP, you might also like the G36C. They look (somewhat) similar, and the G36C is quite compact. Both guns have similar features, folding stocks, nearly identical iron sights, plastic/polymer bodies, and both are H&K guns.
Just a suggestion, though.

Though I have considered a G36C I think I'd rather stick with getting the UMP instead of just getting the G36C because I couldn't get my hands on a UMP.

Buying a gun because it's hard to come by may be a bad choice because they can be very hard to resell.

That's not the reason i want the gun, that's just the only reason that I'd get a G36C instead of a UMP, and I'd rather wait for what i want to come along.

where I could get a reasonable UMP styled gun for under $135 which is listed on Airsplat? (I've seen around $100, but they are always sold out) . If it's sold out, it doesn't quite help me.. Anyway, still let me know if you get them..

Commando's airsoft has them. Just he's selling them at a ridiculous price at $180 and they are not worth that at all. I wouldn't pay over $100 for one. Nor would I buy anything from Commando's airsoft cuz it's way over priced.
As for how they work, They are okay until you upgrade them. G&G UMP style mags work in them perfectly. Has a V.3 Gearbox inside of it. Means uses the Short type motor as well as all V.3 gearbox parts. The air nozzle is tricky in the DE version. The stock air nozzle was 1mm shorter then an M4 type. Probably making it a MP5 air nozzle or something along those lines. It's not as short as an AK version either being as the AK type is 1mm shorter then the stock UMP nozzle. Installed a Madbull 6.01 229mm TTB and it dead ends 1mm shy of the outer barrel end making that inner barrel length then longest in can go w/out a barrel extention. Use's the same hopup unit as a G&G version. The takedown on it is SO simple. Two pins and two screws gets you to the whole gearbox. Simplest gun takedown ever made. The DE version also has a working bolt catch which this new UMAREX version does not. The only thing that's anywhat good about UMAREX's version is the quick spring change, other then that the guns garbage I think from what I know about the gun.
The hardest part about it is getting mid caps. But that's the same issue as a G36. They're expensive and most of the time never in stock.
Tho G36 has an advantage of having a M4 converter making mid caps easier to get and use in the gun.
Anything else you'd like to know just PM me. I have a G&G version and DE M89.
