Now I'm not sure what the deal is with this place but what about the Michigan State Fairgrounds.

Does anyone have any information for Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods? I was on set when they filmed Red Dawn there, but that was a few years ago.

I'm not sure how much pull LC could have with a state agency, but my sister does security at a closed state prison.
It's not too far( under 150 miles from Detroit), and all the buildings are still in excellent shape.
Currently it's just sitting as they shop it around for perspective buyers, but if they could make some money off it while it's just sitting, someone may be open to it.

That reminds me there's the Scott correctional facility over in Northville Plymouth that closed a year or two back. It still looks like it's in great condition as I would imagine it's not in any major state of decay for only being closed a couple years back. And it's a nice sized property big enough to conduct an game on. There's also parking. Robert Scott Correctional Facility 47500 Five Mile Road Plymouth, MI 48170 A link with recent news in regards to the sale of the property. www.topix.com/wire/prisons/robert-scott-correctional-facilityMy guess is the city still currently owns the land. With that being said it may prove to be even more difficult if it has to go through the city and not a private owner. :/

Funny you mention Scotts, my dad was a deputy warden there for about 10 years. I've been in just about every part of that place.

That place came to mind, but I didn't know if it was still there. I haven't been by it in 3 or 4 years. I use to fly RC helicopters just down the street from it.

I dont know how you all would feel about it, but I like the idea of renting the SilverDome for an event, think of the scenarios.. a "big game" with bomb in stadium.. VIP assassination prevention.. etc.. my two cents, and they do rent it cheaply.

The Monroe County NIKE Missile Battery would be the absolute coolest place around I could think of. I think it is still mostly government owned though, so it may be out of the question. It would make for a cool post-end-of-world nuclear crisis style game. www.techbastard.com/missile/nike/d57-58.php

There was a place in Detroit I went to once a really long time ago for Paintball. At the time I think it was called Splatball City. Im not sure if the building is still up or if anyone remembers it but what I remember is that it was a big old abandoned multiple floor building. I remember we parked on the roof and walked down to the playing arena. It was huge. Im sure there is plenty of abandoned buildings
Another one I just remebered was an old foundry in Vassar, MI. Its about 30 minutes north-east of Flint. Im not sure if its operational or not tho.

Splatball was located in the defunct Packard Plant which is now home to squatters, urbexers and scrappers.

I would like to play at the place Pagan, suggested. It would be cool, it is just 15miles from my house , But my question is "Would the game be just milsim, or a mix between that and a rec game?"
