Not sure If this is in the right place, but i'll move it if I have to. How do you guys carry your BBs? I cant find a way to do it withought the loud shaking sound that gives my team members away so much. What we usualy do is stuff it in our backpacks and wrap it in cloth to muffle them, but does anyone have another way?

Unless you're running a support weapon, leave your loose bb's back at the parking lot/spawn point. You shouldn't be spraying so much that you would need to be reloading all your mags that often. If you are, you probably need to work on your accuracy and trigger control a bit.

Yeah I don't carry loose ammo or bags of BBs on the field with me. I move around and drop into hasty positions way too much to have loose ammo on me. I'd lose it all. As Thor said even for long games you really should be fine leaving it at the staging area or spawn for the large outdoor games. I'd try n get a box of mid-caps and load those up to take in the field. typically 75-130 rounds per...if you carry even 6 of those you have a good amount of ammo with no noise to give you away. That would be my recommendation to solve your problem. Along with Thor's advice to work on getting really good with semi.
I typically load half a hi-cap (all i have right now..looking for mids) and run it for an entire 6 hour session of indoor cqb with mostly unlimited respawn games (aka a lot of shooting). You can conserve a lot of ammo if you practice running semi-only.

In order to carry loose bbs quietly, I either: 1) Swallow them. 2) Compress the bag they are in in order to press out any air and then place a rubber band around the bag. 3) Carry the loose bbs in a soft container, like a plastic lunch baggy (or the bag they were sold in), as opposed to a bottle. 4) Let the rattling bbs be your battle cry and don't give a shit if anyone hears you coming as you steamroll through position after position in a whir of AEG sewing machine goodness with epic pyrotechnics exploding overhead, F-35s flying cover, while an American flag replaces the sky itself. This last one is entirely optional...

1. Don't carry loose ammo or use high caps. 2. Carry 20 110rd mid cap magazines like I do.

There are some circumstances where you have to carry loose ammo. For instance, I will be carrying loose ammo at NL3 so that I can reload my grenades after use.

Mid caps. I run 7+1, 3 are 75 rounders, and the other 4 are 130.

I would just use midcaps like everybody else. Sadly, I only have a single annoying hi cap that is super loud. I also have a question that I think would be relevant to this topic:
How many midcaps/how much ammo do I need?
I saw on previous posts that people would have 7-10 midcaps; this is seems somewhat ridiculous to me. I also saw on another post that someone used half a hi cap for one battle; this also sounds unrealistic. Since my next airsoft purchase will be magazines (among other things) I would like to know what is a good number of mags/good amount of ammo. The last time I did airsoft I used one hi cap (about 250 rounds) within a few hours, but it doesn't seem to justify over 4-5 ~150 rd mags to me.

I usually play with with 7 mid caps and that gives me enough between breaks. At black eagle last year I only used like 500 rounds all day, But at a rec game this spring I used 1000 in like 4 hours. It all depends on your play style really. Just save some cash and buy yourself a box of mids, you will never want to use a hicap again.

If you're conservative and use semi most of the time. Then you clearly won't need as many mags/ammo. We can't really tell you how many mags or how much ammo you need. Mid caps also tend to feed a lot better compared to high caps. Especially for a gun that has a higher ROF. I saw on previous posts that people would have 7-10 midcaps; this is seems somewhat ridiculous to me. I also saw on another post that someone used half a hi cap for one battle; this also sounds unrealistic. Why is it ridiculous? Wouldn't you want to carry as much ammo as you can so you don't have to worry about running out? That's my general rule of thumb. I'd rather carry more magazines than less. That's why I carry 20 mid cap magazines.... ;D But I also play more MILSIM games than I play standard rec games which in case it's more advantageous to carry more than less and re-load as little as possible.

I've played games where I go through 8 - 130 round midcaps before lunch and then most of them again after lunch. These games I did a lot of full auto bursts, to provide cover for people in my fire team to move up. If you find that you are playing in a game where you are pretty much going in through the front door a lot, you may find this to be the case also. My last game I played I went through 1 and a half magazines before lunch. We spent all morning sneaking around and flanking people. I have to say, I haven't spent that period of time flanking people in a long time, and it was so much more fun! Other guys in my fire team still went through 6 to 8 mags however. It all depends really on whether you are selectively taking shots that you know you can make, or if you are shooting streams of auto, hoping that you will sneak one in, or hoping that it might arc far enough to hit something.

20 mags may be a bit overkill, but I would say if you're not blasting away all the time on full auto that 7 to 10 mags should get you through a whole day no problem, even firing bursts of 3-5 bb's at a time.
Since the OP said he's running a sniper rifle though, this is all kind of a moot point. They don't make midcaps for L96's. What I would suggest is to both get more mags (two 10 round mags isn't very much ammo obviously) and just carry a speed loader with you. If you get one of the large M4 mag shaped speed loaders, that's like 400 rounds. It'll still rattle, but not as much as a whole jar of them might.
