So I am thinking about basing my load-out around the Irish Republican Army. Any tips on what kind of gear I would need? If I can't get the gear together to pull off the IRA thing I may do a just a general terrorist impression, I see so many people going for USMC or SEAL impressions, I want to do something different. Is there anyone here that currently runs a terrorist or IRA impression that could give me tips on what gear I should be looking to invest in?

Mixed camo's with jeans. Good old fashioned 3 hole balaclava/ski mask. LBE is either like, British PLCE gear or something comparable. Guns are pretty much anything and everything.

Already have the AK-47 but its needs some repair work done to it. I could run my M4 but then it won't be all that accurate of an impression, especially when my upgrades come in for it. But thanks for the info. Turns out British military surplus or replicas are fairly easy to find online.

Don't run the M4, impressions are supposed to be as accurate as possible.
Also, don't cheap out on impressions, it'll show. Accurate ones cost quite a bit, even one as basic as an IRA loadout. Know that before you commit to one.

I would say to get a green ski mask, if possible, it fits better. If you want to look more like one of their higher-ups, I suggest a green beret as well, maybe full camouflage and some pins/medals, like if you were in the military. What model is your AK?

Google Irish Republican Army Soldiers for some reference pics, I'd post some good ones but I'm on my iPad and in UofM Dearborn's shitty wifi.

That's what I have been looking at. Da Vinci, This is my Ak. www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=408_415&products_id=7037 Don't laugh, It was my first AEG. Not really anything the IRA would have access to, more likely spetsnaz. Despite being CYMA/Cybergun the gun is pretty decent. If it wasn't for the fact I have a decent M4, I'd prefer to run my AK most of the time.

Neither of the weapons you have would work for an IRA impression dude. I'd rethink it, and not do it.

Maybe a European themed terrorist out fit then. Like Makarov's men from MW2 and 3?

Sell both of your guns and get a used TM AK-47. It'll be a great reliable gun and you could do quite a few loadouts with it.
You could continue your IRA loadout or do a cool Mujahideen impression.

If you're stuck with the AK, at least put a full stock and standard AK grip on it.

Just spend 300 dollars on upgrades and attachments for my m4 last week, If anything I will just save up money for a TM AK-47, My M4s my baby and I'm not getting rid of it. I have nothing else to say

Dude look for deals in the commerce section instead of spending that much more on new gear. Pretty sure Yankee was selling a TM AK-47 not too long ago, they are fairly common.

I wouldn't even get an AK47, what people don't seem to understand is that the original AK47 was pretty bad, the name stuck and the AKM was still called the AK47 by uninformed people. It was phased out in the 50's for the AKM and the numbers AK styled rifles throughout the world are mostly the AKM. All the reputation for reliability was from the AKM so an AKM would be more accurate. You could also get an M16A2, I'm almost certain it was relatively common with the IRA. I don't think I could have said AKM any more times.
