[glow=red,2,300][/glow] I have not seen any in person, but are there any (electric) spring assisted sniper rifles on the the market (or even in existence). If so can anyone tell me if they are good.

If you're asking about whether there are any semi-automatic sniper rifles out there, the answer is yes, there are several.
The Tokyo Marui PSG-1, Ares M110, a couple of different SR-25's, even a Barrett M107 replica.
Most of these guns (except for the PSG-1) will use either a standard Version 2 gearbox, or an elongated Version 2 gearbox, so parts are usually not that hard to come by. The PSG-1 uses a Version 4 gearbox, so it is quite different from most guns.

Isn't there a SVD of some sort out there? Or am I having a brain fart?

Another thing on the PSG-1. It's my understanding that the gearbox works slightly different than a standard version 2. The PSG-1 releases the piston (and the BB of course) then compresses piston/spring, then waits for the next trigger pull. Contrasted by a normal version 2 gearbox that leaves the piston in an uncompressed state. The idea is that it improves trigger response. So if you had a monster spring and a weak motor or battery your trigger response would still be nearly instant.

There are gas sniper rifles, I don't remember who makes them but I just remember that there are gas snipers too. My friend has a electric SVD.

Real Sword makes an AEG SVD. They're quite tits if you can find and afford one.
As for gas rifles, Tanaka, KJW ('Clone' of Tanaka), and ARES all make gas bolt guns.

I'm pretty sure CA makes an AEG SVD as well.

That's because it's a V4, not a V2. Upgrades for V4 boxes are expensive and almost non-existent. It's probably the only situation where you should consider Systema parts since their V4 FTK is one of the only upgrades available. Unless you need to have a PSG-1 for some reason, you're better off with a gun that uses a V2 (elongated or regular, doesn't matter) for a sniper rifle build.
