Hello fellas, Been toying with the idea of getting an AEG, but find myself with the desire to finish my VSR off externally. With that said, I am going for looks here, and am willing to pay a good bit. Here is a list of what I plan on getting: www.airsoftatlanta.com/PDI_VSR_10_Front_Bull_Barrel_L_p/65350.htmI want the fluted barrel, but seeing as it is $50 more, I can't justify getting it over this one. Especially since she will be wrapped for games anyways... I assume I do not need a PDI receiver for this outer barrel and the TM stock one will suffice without modification? Another option would be to get this ( www.airsoftatlanta.com/PDI_VSR_10_Front_Bull_Barrel_P_p/65349.htm) and add a adapter/suppressor, allowing me to still stick with my current regular length VSR 10 inner barrel, while having a nifty new look added. Thoughts? And of course a harris bipod: www.airsoftatlanta.com/NCStar_Spring_Loaded_Sniper_Bipod_Compact_p/55972.htmI sold my last one so I need a new one. I assume this will mount right into the hole in the front of my rifle's stock? I am used to l96 ris attachment rails, so I have never had to mount a bipod on a VSR 10. Thoughts and opionions welcome. Here is my current rifle...needs a make over: Will be replacing old sling with my trusty ol' brown one that I ran on my l96 once the harris bipod arrives.

Start with a fresh coat of paint and then see how you feel. It's surprising how many times I've felt like you have and just ended up needing a small change in order for it to feel new again.

I know what you mean, but I actually like the worn down look. The thing I really do not like about this rifle is how the outer barrel gets narrower as it nears the end cap...It is quite ugly IMO.
I really would like a new outer as well as a harris to complete it externally. Just not sure what kind of outer barrel to get.

Either way, you'd need to get this as well www.airsoftatlanta.com/PDI_VSR_10_Bull_Barrel_Base_p/65347.htm in order to run either of your posted options. Personally I would go with the further option, rather than the latter, but it's all preference. As far as the PDI receiver, I'm not sure if you would need it or not, the threads on the base that I posted seem to be the same as the stock barrel on a VSR. Either way, good luck!

Holy smokes, totally was unaware of the need for a bull barrel base...
Thanks for catching that, I would have been pissed if I would have disregarded that part...

Rather than buy all new parts, some fooling around just to see what I got. Here is my rifle with a suppressor added, but without any adapter. Need some white tape that will be painted to replace black tape on suppressor. Is held firmly with electric tape spacers. Goes over the outer barrel up to the tip. Just need my harris and a new paint job ( will hide all external black tape ) and she is golden.

Looks good, isn't that the G-SPEC model, so that's the stock suppressor?

Looks good, isn't that the G-SPEC model, so that's the stock suppressor? It is the TM Regular outer barrel with a G-Spec Suppressor, which I happened to have lying around. It's nice to change up the look without having to switch and redo barrel spacers to compensate with extra room in outer barrel on the G-Spec model...With the suppressor over the outer barrel, I also don't have to buy a longer inner barrel to compensate for the suppressor hanging off the end on most guns.

I see, looks good! The G-SPEC silencer is a nice bit of kit as well.

Thanks man, psyched to get some new paint on it/removing black tape to give it that "clean look". Something about the G-spec outer barrel + G spec suppressor just did not flow right. Perhaps because the G-Spec outer barrel is so wide, it just seemed to blocky for my taste. Liking it with the reg. barrel, plus it saved me over $150, which I say is a plus.

I didn't like the G-SPEC outer barrel either, and ended up switching it out for a Pro barrel, though unlike you, I dig the tappered barrel style, especially on a free float receiver.
Maybe throw some jute/burlap wrap on the silencer too, I've seen real world pics with that type of setup.

Not sure on the measurement, but I do know it is the compact version, so I assume a 6'' one. I prefer the compact over the regular size simply because low profile looks better and is easier to use in prone.
