Basically, I rack the slide, then let go. When I do that, the slide release always will go towards the unlocked area, so eventually, it just falls off. Anyway to stop this?

What did you do to it before this started happening? I'm assuming you had taken the slide off for some reason and now it's doing this since you've put it back together?
To be honest though, I'm not sure what would cause that unless there were some damage either to your slide or your frame. The takedown lever shouldn't rotate on it's own like that.

Yes. I took the slide off to check for any debris (Got it from another person), or for anything that could possibly worry me. Course, after that, rack slide, release, boom, lever goes down.

Probably lost the detent pin in the takedown lever.
