Alright, I know it sounds pretty cheesy, but the current load-out I'm going for is the Battlefield 3 "Recon" class look. In case you were wondering, here's a reference photo: So far, I have: ACU Pants ACU Condor MCR1 Vest ACU Double stack M4 pouches ACU Admin Pouch ACU handheld radio pouch Blue/black shemagh Voodoo Tactical Skeleton gloves Black Pistol Dropleg (Not on him, but whatever) Anyways, I was open for suggestions on the rest, I want to keep a good ACU/Black ratio, I'm getting a black Propper BDU top soon enough, and I'll be ordering a "Bowman" headset from RSOV. Anyone want to help with the rest?

Just, no. But I see no "ACU" gear on the figure, instead I see a Coyote Brown or Khaki RRV with the bib folded down.

Oh, I know the camos and colors from the picture aren't correct, but in-game you can change the camouflage you are wearing, the one I have is a black/ACU mix.

Im pretty sure almost everyone here will agree with me when I say steer away from patterned gear(AOR = exception). First of all, black does not blend in with anything, and ACU will look funny if you ever switch uniforms.

I'm pretty sure no one who wears ACUs in an official capacity mixes and matches their uniform as portrayed in Battlefield 3, and we certainly don't have black tops anymore. That said, the "recon chest rig" by Eagle, Blackhawk, or whatever clone equivalent is what comes closest to the recon rig.

I'll bite:
Desert marpat pants, coyote brown RRV no back plate, shemagh, revision bullet ant goggles, shingle mag pouches, dropleg utility pouch/dump pouch, sordin headset, coyote brown long/short sleeve shirts, combat boots and knee pads.
ACU is wrong for that photo.

Also looks like the RRV is running over a PACA or similar armor.

I think he's wearing a short sleeve shirt with some sort of under armor type thing under it. Also it looks like he has a GPS on his wrist.

My first complaint about BF3 was how silly the Snipers looked. Its like they modeled it off an Airsofter.

Agreed. Not that I personally advocate basing any impressions off of video games, however I do like the loadouts in Operation Flashpoint River Rising.

Dragon Rising was superb, but Red River, the one I believe he is referring to, did suck MASSIVE schlong. They took a series more geared toward the ArmA crowd, and did everything in their power to make it mainstream, killing it in the process. It takes literally no brains to play it, whereas Dragon Rising was a very similar experience to playing ArmA. ArmA is still vastly superior, but they got the heart and soul of everything correctly. Still, the load-outs of both games are definitely great to look at, unlike a certain other mainstream series out there.

Not that I'm trying to side-track this thread than what's already been done but I just went out and got Dragon Rising since I skipped over it and I disagree completely. There's a lot of things with Dragon Rising that I hate about the game. One being that it's almost impossible get extra ammunition in the game. 2, I thought that the AI were stupid in River Rising but the AI in DR suck donkey balls and have to be baby sat even more so than in River Rising. You also can't customize your kit to be better suited to each mission like you can in River Rising.
Also I didn't think the campaign missions were that entertaining or really special. But again that's just my personal opinion.
